I can already tell they fucked up the season from this trailer....

Season 4
8 Episodes

5.5/10

I watched the new season this week at home. The Netflix recap for Seasons 1-3 curiously omitted Henry Cavill as Gerald and focuses mainly on Ciri. As I have stated earlier, I have not followed any video games or other content out there, I’m watching this series blind and as it is presented.

It immediately starts off with a slow visual introduction of Liam Hemsworth as the new Gerald, with him engaging in an action scene fighting monsters. From there it jumps into the future with a storyteller named Striburg narrating Gerald’s adventures to a young girl named Nimue. This scene looks to connect things to the ‘King Arthur’ legends.

From there it goes into Gerald on his quest to rescue Ciri from the events that ended last season. Yennifer is off on her own quest and Ciri is out there running around with a gang of thieves.

Lawrence Fishburne debuts in Episode 2 as Emil Regis. It’s revealed on why Ciri is so important regarding her powers and abilities.

Episode 6 is one of the highlights of the season with a big Sorcery battle between Yenniffer’s group and Vilgefortz group.

Episode 8 has some more action scenes that are impressive. The story from the first episode returns and Nimue is now grown up. Her story looks to continue into season 5.

Gerald is knighted by Queen Meve, which complicates things for him. Yennifer continues her quest for Vilgefortz which will continue into season 5. Bonhart catches up to the Rats and Ciri and he does a great job taking them out. Ciri ends the season in Bonhart clutches for his bounty.

The season ends with Emperor Emhyr looking onto an unseen creature he plans on using to take out Gerald.

Overall, it was a decent season which starts the process of closing out all the open storylines from prior seasons. Liam did a good job with Gerald, it took a couple of episodes at the start to get used to him, but he fits in perfectly. His only drawback is his voice is softer than Henry Cavill’s.

Season 5 which will be the last season will debut at the end of 2026.

Looking forward to it.

For the Incells, Yennifer builds her a team of Female Sorceress’ from characters who have debuted since Season one.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is some BW/WW Lesbian PDA thruout the season.

The Rats: A Witcher Tale
2025

4/10

After I had finished watching Season 4 of the Witcher, I went back to the info page for the series and scrolled down to the bottom.

Usually Netflix adds special editions related to the series and BTS. I scrolled through and saw this flick at the end. I looked into it and Netflix has the service setup that after you watch all episodes of the Season 4, this special shows up. It doesn’t show up on the main page until after you watch the season. This has me wondering what other secret content that is hidden on the service.

I watched the film this afternoon at home on Netflix. As I have stated before, I’m not familiar with the games/books, I did look it up that these characters are popular in the franchise. So I have no clue how accurate they are being portrayed compared to what is out there.

Without spoiling it for those who haven’t seen it, it takes place in between Seasons 3 and 4 before Ciri meets the Rats.

Dolph Lundgren is the highlight of the film debuting as a burnt out Witcher. Bonhart debuts with his first encounter with the Rats.

There is some brief origins of some of the members of the Rats. Some references made in Season 4 involving the Rats is brought up.

Fight scenes are ok, the main story premise is nothing new.

Overall, the film is basically a add-on to the existing Netflix franchise.

For the Gay Agenda trackers, there is a BW/WW lesbian love scene, no nudity. There is a flamboyant gay BM dressed as a woman, nothing is shown
