The Vegas Memes have begun...

I'm curious; would the OP be posting this unfunny crap if this MASS MURDER had happened at an outdoor R&B or Rap concert, and all the victims were Black people...?
Probably not.

What is posting a meme a board member found to post here about a tragedy going to do to change the behavior of white people towards black people, posted in poor taste or not?:dunno:
So; because White people do some foul, fucked up shit, this means Black people should do it too...?
Interesting...
No.

Posting a meme about a tragedy that could have been potentially prevented by an individual that represents privilege and oppression may resonate differently with those customarily shut out of said process when it comes to amending documents to prevent mass murder, posing as protecting one's rights.

My heart goes out to the people that died, however, the parents of that demographics mindset as a rule, is the breeding ground for sh!t like this happening.

But we got to shut up about being over policed in our own neighborhoods worrying about dying on a daily basis.

My empathy/sympathy bank is low fam and is reserved for those who are oppressed systematically.

That's all I got.

The symbol that hangs over a dying player when shot up, alerting teammate players to try to revive them so they can keep playing.

Do a youtube search.

They did some about trayvon martin back in the day that had me rolling. Holding a boom box and shit. Just being honest. I honestly would have no problem laughing at this if I understood the joke. But this seems to be some shit video game nerds would understand.

Imma Fan of Black humor. But the bad thing about black humor is you have to explain your jokes a lot. Or apologize after each one. To prevent fights or tears.

Thank you for sharing your honest, heart felt and extremely well worded thoughts on this senseless tragedy with me bro. Seriously. Thank you...:D

Having said that; my only response is, my ability to feel or empathize with others who are victims of violence isn't limited to nor based upon their race, creed, color, gender, religion or sexuality.

To me, murder victims are murder victims, regardless of their race. Right now; there are children who'll NEVER see their parents alive again because of this maniac. (Just like some Black children who lose a parent to police brutality, a drive by or by some other form of senseless violence. Or ANY children who lose parents to ongoing hatred and violence.).

And this isn't about having some form of misguided love for White people. To me it's simply about acknowledging that at the end of the day, we're all human and empathizing/sympathetizing with another human being for their loss...:dunno:
