At the rate things are going, I'm really not sure how the Marvel Universe is going to look after this Dark Reign story arc reaches it's conclusion.

Interesting stories and characterization though, so I'm not complaining.

If it weren't for Alex Ross' art in the Justice mini series, I wouldn't have read it since Gorilla Grodd makes one too many appearances for me. There is something about monkeys & apes in comics or movies that just bothers me...

As for the Cabal. I wouldn't put a dime on them. That's the shakiest group I've ever seen. They make for great photos but outside of Doom and Loki, I can't see any of them maintaining a partnership. And we all know both Doom and Loki are out for self.

Cyclops is that dude. Best strategist next to captain america. Dude is always thinking of contingencies. He lets bad shit happen sometimes to effect a greater cause. Sometimes I think he "lets" the X-men lose so they can win some bigger goal.

I would not go that far in terms of his ability as a leader.

His character has gone through a great many changes and so far and it seems consistent. He did not become confident in his leadership until after "Fatal Attraction." He did not question his teaching until after "Onslaught." So now we are seeing the type of leader he can be.

His drawback has always been Jean. With her out of the picture he has very little to distract him from his "career." Emma is a pragmatic love interest. So she fits into his more mature role.

Scott has always been my top 3 xmen and always will be man. Scott has always been a hero man

He's led his folks thru the HARDEST TOUGHEST shit ever man. He's out lasted everything and everybody. All the guys he's faced as leader of the xmen? Trumps captain america.

Hell there aren't really any other team leaders out there....Not only is Scott a team leader he's a leader of a whole people.

I love this shit man. he's had the foresight to see that it's his job now to protect his people and that's why he's made Xforce. MAN DUDE do you know how long i've been waiting a group like Xforce to be made? I used to think that Storms austrailian team was the absolue shit.

From a science fiction stand point I can understand the power.

Molecule man is very much just another telekinetic...same as DC's Firestorm and Doctor Manhattan. All of these characters can give cosmic characters a run for their money.

Telekinesis is the apex of energy manipulation. If you can move any thing with your mind (energy disparity) why would atoms be any more or less of a target?

Storyline-wise...very trash. They could have told all of the BS in that last book at the end of any of the other crossover books.

A a few local NYC books that I collect are fucking great. Ultimate Marvel is doing good so far with the commitment factor so far so I am giving them a spin.

I am hoping that Image United is really good and shows the big 2 how to run flagship but again...I doubt it.
