DOGE operatives have repeatedly referred to the software company Palantir as a possible partner in creating a “mega API” at the IRS, sources tell WIRED.

People really had no idea how wild drumpfs first term could have been. But he had seasoned Republicans in his cabinet that kept him relatively in check. And there were a few times where they openly clashed and announced they disagreed with him since they had such standing in government/ politics. They weren't beholden to him, and that pissed him off.
See this time, nah he learned from that mistake. All he has under him are people he's made "Kiss the ring." So now he's got them all afraid of him or somehow under his thumb to get all sorts of wild shit off (3rd term and Tarrifs 2.0 anyone....) he wanted to do that shit the first time around but he had rational people with backbones in his camp.....
Drumpf saw how easy it was to enrich himself in term 1 and he wants to make T2 /T3 the golden parachutes he could never make as a "real" businessman.
Also, for a lot of this time it was reported that drumpf "created" Doge. And then gave them full access across government agencies, but constitutionally he can't do that. Only Comgress can "create" government agencies. But what Drumpf did do, was rename an already existing agency. Pres Obama created US Digital Service in response to how the states fucked him on the Healthcare Marketplace..... it's mission was to cut through red tape, modernize systems and processes and bring the government up to the modern era as far as technology was concerned. And since it was created by Pres Obama it faced numerous challenges.....
Drumpf effectively fired all of the USDS staff, renamed it DOGE, brought in Elon and his X people and then Drumpf told his acolytes to make sure everyone else falls in line..... and they have for the most part. USPS is NOT EVEN DIRECTLY FUNDED BY THE US GOVERNMENT. but the now ex Post Master made sure to give DOGE access to all of their records just to appease his buddy Drumpf.
