The Size of The Solar System

Just think of the power of the gravity of the sun to hold these minuscule objects from so far away.

If you shot a beam of light during the time of Jesus it would still be within our galaxy. Just one of about 200 million galaxies.

Props OP.

so essentially an orange almost 4 miles away from a beach ball is our solar system

we are dust mites :smh:

There's always a chance

Our chance of being the only life form in the universe is like hitting the mega million twice in a row. Its two big for us to be the only ones. I saw somewhere that they said with all the galaxies, there is an estimated 400,000+ planets comparable to earth.

This is just our solar system. Which ain't shit. There's like 100 million solar systems just in our own milky way galaxy and there are 500 billion galaxies. Man this shit is absurd.

As stars go, the Sun is actually a medium-sized, and even smallish star. Stars with much more mass can be much larger than the Sun.

The size of the Sun is changing. In the future when it runs out of usable hydrogen fuel in the core, it will become a red giant as well. It will engulf the orbits of Mercury and Venus, and possibly even the orbit of the Earth. For a few million years, the Sun will be about 200 times bigger than its current size.
