Anyone else feeling these Solar Flares? Gawd damn sucking all the energy out of me!

I haven't been feeling anything out of the ordinary, but you did just remind me of that movie 'Knowing' w/ Nicholas Cage.

Cotdamn that was a terrible movie.

Knowing (stylized as KNOW1NG) is a 2009 science fiction thriller film[5] directed and co-produced by Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage. The film, conceived and co-written by Ryne Douglas Pearson, was originally attached to a number of directors under Columbia Pictures, but it was placed in turnaround and eventually picked up by Escape Artists. Production was financially backed by Summit Entertainment. Knowing was filmed in Docklands Studios Melbourne, Australia, using various locations to represent the film's Boston-area setting. The film centers on the discovery of a strange paper filled with numbers and the possibility that they somehow predict the details of various disasters.

The film was released on March 20, 2009, in the United States. The DVD and Blu-ray media were released on July 7. Knowing grossed $186.5 million at the worldwide box office, plus $27.7 million with home video sales, against an average production budget of $50 million. It met with mixed reviews, with praise for the acting performances, visual style and atmosphere, but criticism over some implausibilities and the ending.

@easy_b
Okay fellas shit might hit the fan.....
Keep an eye out, on either Sunday or Monday
Another REALLY strong solar flare/flash is coming our way
Going to be a direct hit to the Earth
Not sure if we will see any blackouts, or earthquakes, or volcano activity
Or maybe just something minor
@4 Dimensional
It might knock us into the..... 5th Dimension ;)

I'm just worried about the power grid. This country would be screwed if it went down.

I think in the USA we should be good (hopefully) :cool:
But I can see places like Puerto Rico or Cuba, etc, etc, having power issues
I remember the last strong solar flare P.R. lost power for like 2-3 days

Map Reveals US Blackout After Powerful Solar Flare

By Rachael O'Connor

On June 15, North America found itself under a shortwave radio blackout, leading to a loss of signal at frequencies below 20 Megahertz (MHz).

Amateur radio operators may have been affected by the signal loss, with commercial radio usually operating at a higher MHz rate.

The blackout was caused by a solar flare from the sun, following a growing active region of a sunspot…
