They were originally going to make Smithers Black but wisely thought against it, that lets me know that these guys kinda knew better and should have casted a Southern Asian in the role way back in 1989
I always liked Apu. I wasnt Indian so obviously it hit different, but I always felt like we were laughing at him being funny, not just because he was Indian.@Duece
