The power of intermittent fasting

I stopped.Whats your schedule I'll follow yours

Mine is 3PM - 11PM. I usually don't eat breakfast in the mornings because I'm so busy, not to mention if I want to go out on the weekend with friends I can enjoy a meal.

I stay strict. Nothing more than tea, but usually just water in my fasting window. There seems to be some confusion on whether bone broth is acceptable or not during the fasting phase so I use it to break the fast. I eat pretty clean so the 8 hour window is not a problem. If I feel like I'm not getting enough proteins I'll go get a smoothie. The more greens I eat/drink, the less hungry I feel.

4th week into my 20-4 "Warrior Diet" - lost 17 pounds

Eating window from 7p to 11pm, though I usually try to finish eating about 8:30p, so that the next day, I can break my fast at 8:30p, and that allows me to get in a few 24hr fasts during the week as well.

Water only during fasting. At least 8 bottles a day. 9 when I work out (2-3 times a week, including yard work).

I have a very simple palate, I can eat the same thing over and over, and I do.

I have baked, breaded homemade chicken tenders. Fried chicken tenders was the hardest thing for me to shake, so I had to make a homemade healthier alternative. Either Lemon Pepper, Cajun or BBQ flavored w/ a small serving of a Sugar Free BBQ sauce. Or if I need a change, like I did this week, I'll substitute it for a turkey burger on wheat.

Then hit my macros with 1 serving of: Lima beans, Spinach, Sweet Potato (baked in Coconut Oil served w/Organic Maple Syrup), and Broccoli w/ Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Then I have a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar with Black Seed Oil. Might throw in a Whey protein shake with Almond milk if I need more protein. I break the fast with the greenery first, then eat the meat, then the sweet potato last.

And that's all I eat on the weekdays.

Saturday & Sunday, I do 16-8 with my cheat meals, eat what I want, but still don't go too crazy with it. I still stray away from most junk, candy, HFCS, processed foods. I might grab a pizza or hit the BBQ spot, grab some doughnuts or something. I gotta keep my sanity lol If I crave anything else, I'll try to make a healthier homemade version of it. Like this weekend, I made my own Taco Bell Chalupa with ground turkey and organic salsa and queso on baked wheat naan bread - man that shit was WET.

I'm feeling good. No aches and pains (except from working and working out). Focus is on point, I'm hella beasty at work. Will power on a hunnid. Getting GREAT SLEEP. I wake up naturally most days. Not having to do a lot of meal prep except skinning and dicing my sweet potatoes and chopping my chicken.

I'mma keep this up.

I was doing IF about a year ago and was getting results but fell off, this thread got me back on it. Thanks.

But anyone ever have trouble sleeping while doing IF? Not because you are hungry but just a general restlessness. Last meal at 9, hit the bed between 12a -1a and Im wide awake for another 2-3 hours. Even though I only been getting 4-5 hours of sleep Im not tired but probably cant keep that up. Just wondering if its part of the adjustment period.
Try tea with vinegar and honey an hour before bed. I'm on day 2 of that will let you know how it works for me.

Week 1
On 16-8
2 meals(no change in calories or carbs) eat whatever I want eat. No workout
Starting Weight: 239-237.5lbs
Loss:-2.5
Goal:205-225

I'm on my 3rd week of 16-8. Week 1 was hit or miss, I didn't really stick to it and cheated on weekends.
I do 2 meals of anything and snack in between meals. Week 1 I snacked before bed so I broke my fast right away (lol)
Did much better week 2 stuck to my cheat days and broke my fast on 2 days before bed instead of 5. I'm used to getting dessert before bedtime which needs to stop.

Week 3 I'm going to drink tea with vinegar and honey an hour before bed within my fast window and stick to my cheat days.

Starting weight: 205
Weight after week 2: 199

I drink glass of water as soon as wake up. Meditate and workout (HIIT 10 - 30 minutes) drink more water and drink water through out the day. Usually half gallon to a gallon a day.

Have a coworker who started intermittent fasting about a month ago. He's in his mid-30s and has been making some additional health changes in recent years. Always been an active guy and played high-level HS & college ball. Got mixed up in the partying and drinking scene in his 20s into early-30s and that sort of set him back a bit. Has been playing league basketball for an over-30 group for the better part of the past 8 - 10 years (formerly in a younger league of people in their 20s, and now the older group). His siblings and dad have had some health issues over the years (primarily heart-related). One sister's 40 ... the other's 50 ... and dad just turned 70. Got some blood panel work completed, got on some blood pressure medication & has done those holter monitor tests x 2. Once about a month ago, and again last week just for good measure. He's trying to cook more at home as well. Mostly chicken, rice, veggies. His food consumption window is 11am - 7pm if I recall correctly. I told him to keep me posted ... as he's pretty sharp & knowledgeable.

Hopped on the scale this morning and I'm at 225lbs!

Mind you, I ate half a pizza at like 10pm last night.

I love this way of eating. I don't feel guilty if I fall off for a meal. As long as I'm eating within my window I'm GOOD.

still at it and bc of the results others are getting into it, i would like to find a multivitamin, this gnc joint is garbage :puke:

I take centrum men's...

I know two people that used to compete and they both say those centrum vitamins are just as good as anything you'll get from gnc or specialty shop
