the pistons get AI !

The Pistons are going to score more now. Getting AI to play defense is a different story.

Practice!? We're talking about practice!

Now he has to play the point for the entire game. Because you know Rip can't do it. I've always maintained that he was capable of doing it. Whether he's willing to dish it out on a nightly basis is another story

**waits for Rollie Fingaz & Cranrab to enter thread**

scorer turned PG rodney stuckey is the key to the equation.

what will happen to his role? when we know the answer to that variable, everything else falls into place.

are we looking at this lineup?

allen iverson
richard hamilton
tayshaun prince
jason maxiell
rasheed wallace

they must think Stuckey is the future point guard , and Chauncey is on the decline - A.I will probably be here just this year

its a gamble - but Joe Dumars makes good gambles

Peace and good evening...

The deal was done for the Pistons because Iversons and Wallaces contracts will come off the books next year. That's a lot of money. Not to mention that Iverson was convinced that the Nuggets were trying to rebuild and wasn't a contender. Iverson will have to buy into running the point in Detroit, but he is capable of it.

I like the deal for Denver. It shows that management is putting faith into J.R. Smith and it makes their backcourt much bigger. It also gives them the point guard they want. It also cuts off any chance of Marbury playing for them. I think his only option now would be Miami.

..just don't be surprised if Iverson goes back to Denver next year. (I said it first.)

Oh, for Denver, I LOVE the deal. As long as JR can pull in the reins and play under control, he should do well. Have heard alot of people, both fan and "expert" say this is a great trade for JR, but just remember, that he's been under a TIGHT leash by both George Karl and Byron Scott. First sign of mistakes and he gets yanked out with the quickness.

I think the trade will benefit the Denver front line the most. Nene, Kenyon Martin and maybe even Kleiza will see an increase in production with Billups doing the distributing (if he ever shows up)

Helps us offensively ,hurts us defensively

and since defense wins Championships ,I dunno if we can get past Boston

look for Dumars to pick up a big guard to lock down Paul Pierce in the Playoffs
