I've been quite silent as of late about current issues. I've been thinking about the current status of our economy, and our so-called "recovery". *Can you tell that I'm actually very skeptical about using the word "recovery"?*
Anyway, back to jobs, I find it remarkable that the hardest hit community, when it comes to jobs, do not fully understand what's going on. In fact, I don't think most can really comprehend the situation our sweet, sweet, democratic congress is putting us for years to come. Yea, I hear that Obama inherit a bad situation. You can keep on riding that train if you want. Most of my political comrades on this board would probably ride that train until it hit a political end of the tracks. It's okay my fellow liberals, that talking point seems to still have SOME steam....*I might be overestimating...* The point is, with all the excuse making my left leaning friends are using on here, the question still remains. Where are the jobs?
Just like the oil slick in the Gulf the media, nor the government, can answer this question. Tarp reform, Stimulus this, economic reform that...yet still no jobs? Yeah, I'm sure you might be like "well YOUR SIDE WANTED TO DO NOTHING!!!?!?!" Typical, I must say... Do you know the point of a recession? A recession is kinda like a hurricane, a cleaning mechanism if I must say. Think about it, if GM, and Chrysler would of went through WITHOUT tarp reform, perhaps it would of clean out a lot of waste that was going on in both companies? Hey, look at Ford *tarp reform-less Ford I might add*. Ford is cleaning up right about now. Yet, we still hear this overused term of "jobs saved or created". Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I have yet to hear Ford laying off at all during this recession. Funny how that works....
Now we get into health care.... So, instead of focusing on HOW to create more jobs, our fair president thought that making a health care bill will be more productive. Riiight? What point is it to have a health care bill when nearly 20% of our population is unemployed? Wouldn't it be more productive to find ways to create jobs that would OFFER health care coverage? Oh yeah, let me clarify something. I'm not saying health care doesn't need to be revised, but why the urgency when so many of our neighbors are without work?
The only fair conclusion I can actually give to all of this is....ITS BY DESIGN. Obama social agenda means more than actually laying ground work of a better economy. Who needs people working when you can run on giving people health care for free? When you unemployed, you tend not to care how much taxes is going to be raised once you start working again. In most cases, the far left wing does not want anyone *mostly not minorities* to be successful on their own accord. Thus, why jobs haven't been created on a large scale. It's not in Obama's plan to truly create jobs on a widespread way. Thus, why the jobs are still non-existent overall.
I'll put it in Layman's terms. If unemployment was down to 4 percent *like the Bush years*, there would be no need of health care reform. Do you really think Obama wants that? Think about it...
