James Bond actor Sir Sean Connery dies aged 90
The photo showed the Oscar-winning actor giving a half-smile and raising his finger in the air as he sat between his son and his son's partner Fiona Upton on his 89th birthday in August last year.
Sean Connery's widow Micheline reveals Bond star's final moments
Revealing how his final months were blighted by dementia, Micheline, who was married to the Oscar-winning star for 45 years, said: 'It was no life for him. He was not able to express himself latterly.'

Everyone liked him because of the Bond character but in reality Sean Connery was a bit of a prick, overly money conscious, vindictive and very difficult to work with on set according to a number of film directors and fellow cast members. His views on hitting women were out of bounds and his first wife Diane Cilento divorced him because of his frequent physical abuse. His saving grace for me was despite his failings he was a damn good actor and an outspoken advocate of civil rights and so for those reasons I was sorry to heard of his passing.
Like many others wrote on here, I grew up on the Bond films because of my Dad! The man just simply exemplified cool! He helped define a character that many have since tried to duplicate.

Trump posted a couple of tweets this morning about Connery that mostly ignored everything for which the actor was most noted and instead focused on his “tough “character” — an apparently appealing attribute to the over-compensating macho president — and Connery’s role as a life-long avid golfer, an avocation that led the renowned Scottish thespian to urge the local government in his home region of Great Britain to speed approval of Trump’s golf resorts in the area.

His inability to use the proper form of the past tense of the verb “to pass” alone should disqualify him from office.
