The one thing Florida did it right last year

Meanwhile this negro (FL GOP state rep. Mike Hill) writes bills to
1) protect confederate monuments from being removed
2)undo the gun laws passed after Parkland school shooting

We have already seen that gun laws don't work. Legislation is not the answer; culture change is, but it won't happen any time soon.
It is good to see that people who have served their time for their crimes can be treated like citizens again.
That's a step in the right direction.

Gun laws do work if you put it in right.......Keep in mind when we had the assault weapons ban back during the Clinton years there was very low numbers of mass shootings.

We also didn't have the internet as what it is today back in those years. There was no dark web, etc. A crriminal who wants an assault weapon can get one.
It comes down to social climate and not laws. If people are suffering, or scared, they want more weapons. The sale of them skyrocketed when Trumpy was hard-selling the "immigrants are comin' ta get cha" bullshit. Then, you stack an angry social climate on top of that and you get more of the crazies who shoot up schools and churches.
When people are doing better in life in general, all of that shit goes down; crime, weapons purchases, etc.
