What's up Fam,
(Can we make this a sticky?)
The Playstation 3. It's coming. Before you say you don't play video games, realize that this post isn't for video game fans really. It's for people that plan on flipping the consoles online or wherever else they can find people that are more than willing to pay a $200 - $500 premium for being able to own a PS3 before or not too far after Christmas.
If you recall the Xbox360 situation, then you will know that there was easy money to be had if you could get your hands on one. I sold two myself for a profit of $200 each...and I didn't do any pre-orders or anything. I just came up on them when I was in Toys R Us three days before Christmas shopping for my niece and nephew. I kicked myself for not placing 10,20,30, or more pre orders. 30 pre-orders x $200 profit each = $6,000. I only kicked myself for a few days, and then I started looking forward to the PS3 release.
This is a great way to take advantage of the law of supply and demand and make decent profits. A product that is in demand and has supply problems, paired with the efficency of selling items on ebay, makes for EASY MONEY. I want to dedicate this thread to the sharing of information that helps every BGOL'er that is interested in flipping PS3's. Every "investment" has it's risk. The risk is that the demand is less than expected and/or the supply is greater than expected. However, I'm willing to take the calculated risk in knowing that I can at least unload the PS3 for what I paid for them.
Right now it is all about securing pre-orders. I expect GameStop and EBGames to start taking pre-orders today or within the next few days. There are also going to be forums/message boards set-up or PS3 pre-order trackers out there in cyberspace.
Think of this a place to give and get PS3 "stock tips".
Good Luck...but who needs it when you have skill and knowledge!

Hardcore gamers have to have their fix AND be the first on the block to own it; they will pay top dollar to own one. Rich parents who don't know better will be on E-bay looking for one to give to their screaming brats. PLUS the premium comes w/ the HD-DVD player..that speaks to itself...money shall be made come Nov 2006...might do a few for the new Nintendo joint too.
