Reason why I mentioned those coaches was because they commanded a very high level of respect & no bullshit tolerance where there would be no hesitation to cut or suspend you to nip shit in the butt immediately granted Coughlin fell off that wagon dealing with OBJ during the OBJ/Norman debacle. This Giants roster needs a vet personality on the defensive side like Strahan, Rolle or Pierce who helped keep their teammates in line. Closest they have to that is Snacks Harrison but I don't think he commands that level of respect yet.

Age doesn't have shit to do with it when a player is a disruption, and understanding your view, again, who knows how far this has gone, what measures have been done to 'keep it in house' to get to this point. Obviously it wasn't one isolated incident, AND, notice, not of the other players on the team, including the veterans have come out against Collin's statement....
Now Dude did the right thing by apologizing, but ultimately, what he did met his objectives, and set the stage for Eli to get released...

There's beat reporters talking about Eli Apple being disliked at every level of then organization. From the players to the ownership. You gotta be on some real fuck shit to be that disliked in your second year.

I highly doubt the release Apple. His contract is too cheap. Now trade... Maybe but would it make sense.
