She was running the team while Barry was in the speed force and Caitlyn went AWOL. Ciswo was in the field with Walky. Wells didn't decide to stick around until after Barry returned. So she became the the de facto leader by necessity.

If he's not sticking around they should remove Mick. I'm just not a fan of most of these characters lol.
I would say his most recent work was great he seemed very focused and enthusiastic.
There was great chemistry and some sadness in their scenes together.
Mick is the heart of that crew quiet is kept.
Yeah I was saying in the LOT thread how great it is having those two back together. I can do without Mick if he's not paired with Snart.

The Flash: Jessica Parker Kennedy’s Mysterious Character Will Return
Jessica Parker Kennedy is returning to The Flash. In the four part crossover “Crisis on Earth-X” a lot happened in the Arrowverse. Nazi doppelgangers of Arrowverse characters showed up on Earth-1 and targeted the various heroes who were conveniently all in one place for Barry and Iris’ wedding. Between the death of Martin Stein, the appearance of Earth-X counterparts of Tommy Merlyn and Leonard Snart, and the eventual weddings of Barry and Iris, plus Oliver and Felicity, there was a lot going on. Still, audiences could not help but notice a new face in the crowd: a waitress at the (first) wedding, played by Jessica Parker Kennedy.
Her scene was a short one, technically occuring during the Supergirl portion of the crossover. She walked up to Barry moments before the ceremony to offer him a drink. She seemed to be more nervous than Barry was, and incredibly excited about the wedding, which she described as “one for the ages.” Her enthusiasm was intense enough for Barry to ask if they had met before. She said no, but took his hand and intently reminded him to say “I do” when the time came. And then she walked away. Many fans theorize that she is either Barry and Iris’ daughter or granddaughter and had time traveled back to 2017, but the character had no name and as of now, it’s only a theory.
Now it sounds like fans will get their answer soon. In a phone interview with Bustle, Kennedy said she would be back in the Arrowverse at least once more. She’s filmed an episode of The Flash that will air in the second half of the season. While hopefully her identity is revealed during that appearance, there is no guarantee. Kennedy says the character is shrouded in so much mystery that she is referred to only as Mystery Girl – even when talking to members of the cast and crew.
Fans might recognize Kennedy from her previous roles on 90210, Colony, and Black Sails. She says she never had to audition to play Mystery Girl, the producers offered her the role and filled her in on the plans. She also says that she doesn’t pay attention to the fan theories, but she is excited that fans are so curious about her character and are trying to guess who she is.
Last season, fans guessed Savitar’s identity very early in the season, so it is possible that the writers are teasing an obvious answer – the future daughter or granddaughter of the West/Allen relationship – while actually setting up something entirely unexpected. However, since current fan theories are based around the comic books, it does remain likely that she is someone from the future who is close to Barry. With the midseason premiere coming up soon, hopefully audiences will not have to wait long until the enigma of Mystery Girl is solved.

My only question is.... if this Devoe guy was killed in Barry's loft... WHERE the hell was his wheelchair?
- This Devoe dude could NOT walk....
- He rode a wheelchair everywhere he went...
- He even went to the Police Station... IN A WHEELCHAIR... to file a 'Restraining Order' against Barry.
How does a person who cannot walk... leave a trail of blood

- And if the body was moved... then Barry should have some fibers, blood & DNA on his hands/clothes. (Where's the test results? )
- Why did Devoe even come to Barry's loft, in the first place?
- And how come the cops busted down his door.... at the very moment Barry found the body?
- The cops had to be 'tipped off' in order to get there so fast... so how come they never investigated where/who the tip came from?
- Since that person who tipped them off... would obviously have known about the murder... in advance.
- Even a simple check of 'phone records' could tell a story & produce a timetable of events. (Or a 2nd suspect )
- Because Barry damn sure did not call the cops himself.

I was thinking the same thing,especially that speech the judge made at the end of the episode...
same power he could have used to clean up that crime scene and not be arrested in the first place

yeah, the show has fallen off. It's the same formula every show. Villain gets the best of the hero during the first half, second half, the hero needs his squad to give him a pep talk, then in the last 15 minutes, the hero succeeds. It's like watching an old Batman episode. The story is horrible. Killer Frost is pointless. This show needs a makeover. Some characters have to go.

I'm watching the episode of the trial right now and MY GOD, Dani Nicolette walking away during closing arguments in that skirt and heels...DAMN. I know without pictures, but I downloaded a non-HD version and a picture couldn't do it justice.

The show started off so great. It not surprising that around the 4th and soon the 5th season that it falls off. Most shows have a 5 year shelf-life. After that they become stale and often we continue watching for reasons we can't explain - habit is the most common. You no longer are in a hurry to watch them.
I'm like that right now with The Walking Dead. I didn't finish the recent half season. I hope the episode after the trial that people say was very bad is an aberrant episode and it will go back to being the show I love
