It's almost like the writers of Arrow just said fuck it. While Flash was great (outside of a few terrible episodes: Bug-Eyed-Bandit) we watched (or stopped watching) the Arrow sink like a stone with some of the worst writing and directing seen by man.

IMO just scrap Arrow, make him a guest star on the Flash from time to time and create a new show with another more ineresting character.:smh:

^^^

What they should have done is like a DC spotlight and one season is dedicated to ONE character and if it works maybe give them their own series on CW, CBS or Hulu.

One season Arrow (in the Fall/Spring 2015), next Constantine (summer 2016) next Green Lantern (Fall/Spring 2016) next Huntress (Summer 2016) next Booster Gold (Fall/Spring 2017) next the Atom (summer 2017), etc.

Cause when Arrow got good it was REAL good...and helped launch Flash, I think its was just too much for the same group essentially to do BOTH shows.

Arrow shouldn't be more then 4 years anyway but not to say those same actors can't jump from series to series for like 10 years.

Really after one bad season and you wan't the show cancelled? Don't get me wrong there were many low points but the show can be salvaged. It's not like Arrow has be terrible from the beginning. When The Flash has some bad writing you gonna be on the cancel the shit train? I don't know if you stuck with Smallville but anyone that did can't somplain much about Arrow.

The Flash Season 1 Finale Was Freaking Awesome

Wait, so we aren’t even in the original timeline on The Flash? — Jamie

Correct. As revealed in the finale, Eobard traveling back in time in the first place created a brand new timeline—much like the other timelines Barry spied while running through the speed force, including the one with Caitlin as Killer Frost. However, I wouldn’t rule out seeing the original timeline again. “Never say never, especially on a show about time travel,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says coyly.

Ridiculous ain't it? Don't worry the Flash is living the life now. The first bad season it has (and its coming) they will be saying it should have ended after season 1.:smh:

Further, what alot of folks do get and it was communicated by the producers of both shows is the following. Basically they learned alot from making The Arrow Show..essentially what works and what doesn't work and have used all that experience to create the product we currently have with the flash.

It also one of the reason why i'm thinking the Supergirl/Tomorrow shows may turn out to be decent. They are all being made by the same people.

Does Felicity annoy the crap out of you on Arrow? Well, I'm afraid I've got some bad news for you! Season two of The Flash will feature a new love interest for Barry Allen, and the official character description points out that she'll basically be this show's Felicity...

Who knows what Barry Allen's life will look like when he emerges from the singularity in season two of The Flash, but regardless of any changes to the timeline, we now know that he's going to have a new love interest. It sounds like romance between Barry and Iris won't be happening just yet!

TV Line reports that The CW is cuurently looking to cast Wendy, a "spunky, fun and funny" character who is a a cop for Central City PD. She's described as bright and scientific minded, and worryingly, the casting call states that those looking at the role should "Think ‘Felicity Smoak’ from Arrow". One Felicity is arguably more than enough, but here's hoping this one cries less.

Anyway, this sounds like a newly created character for The Flash rather than anyone from the comics, but do you guys have any theories? As usual, share your thoughts in the usual place!

New details about Flash season 2 has been officially revealed by The CW Network.

The show's second season will return on 6 October. The premiere episode will be titled 'The Man Who Saved Central City' which implies that Barry will save his city and successfully close the black hole created over the city in season one's finale.

The official description for Season 2 reads as follows:

Following the defeat of Barry Allen's arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom?

The pilot season of the hit CW series ended with a cliffhanger, with Barry trying to close the wormhole which was threatening to destroy Central City.

Candice Patton, who plays Iris, teased that season 2 will pick up right where the finale left off.

Patton dished to Tvline that following the wormhole cliffhanger, season 2's opening episode will address "where Barry is and what that means for STAR Labs and Iris and Joe and Eddie. It'll pick up right where we left off."

Talking about her character, Patton said, "She's found her way into STAR Labs and she's trying to get her career off the ground at Picture News.

"So I, personally, am really hoping to see Iris have more agency and more abilities to help the team and The Flash and the city that she loves so much. I want to see her stand on her own two feet and really contribute to the group," the 27-year-old actor revealed.

Another Tvline report says that Joe will be involved with a women named Olivia in the upcoming season. According to the report, producers are looking for an African-American actress in her early 40s to play the troubled old friend of Joe's.

According to reports, season 2 of the hit CW series starts filming on 7 July in Vancouver, and the first look at the upcoming season will be unveiled at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, to be held in July.

Warner Bros Television & DC Entertainment have announced that fans will get a first look into the worlds of Arrow, The Flash and Gotham, plus a pilot screening of Supergirl, and video presentations of DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Vixen at the convention.

‘The Flash’ Season 2: Will ‘Smallville’ Star Tom Welling Make An Appearance As Superman? Plus Showrunner Teases Guest Stars

With the release of the second season of The Flash still a ways off, fans will be glad to hear that the new season will feature a cameo appearance by another famous superhero. According to the Latin Post, Superman will be making an appearance at some point during the season.

Tom Welling, who is known for his portrayal of Superman on the hit series Smallville, is expected to reprise his role as Superman in the new season of The Flash. While some may have expected Henry Cavill to appear as Superman, it appears as though the DC Cinematic Universe and the DC Television Universe are content with using different actors.

If Welling does manage to reprise his role in The Flash, it will create an opportunity for fans to see what Clark Kent has been doing since the end of Smallville. Additionally, a cameo appearance by Superman might also open the door for other superheroes to pay the show a visit.

Meanwhile, producer Andrew Kreisberg recently shared some news about what fans can expect to see in the second season of The Flash. With the Season 1 finale leaving so many questions unanswered, Kreisberg revealed that Tom Cavanagh would return to the show as Reverse-Flash.

“Tom Cavanagh will continue to be a regular on Flash is all I am prepared to say,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “On Flash, you’ve never seen the last of anybody, no matter what happens to them.”

Kresiberg went on to reveal that Matt Letscher (Eobard Thawne) would also be returning in Season 2 and discussed how his character’s storyline was something they came up halfway through planning the first season.

“The idea of Eobard Thawne having essentially stolen Harrison Wells’ body was an idea that we came up with midstream,” he explained. “What’s wonderful about it is now it allows us to have two tremendously talented actors both playing the same villain. When the Reverse Flash returns, the face that’s underneath the hood can be one of two faces now.”

The producer added that fans can expect to see an expanded storyline for both Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramone) and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow).

“Yeah, now that people have seen the finale, there were some things we’re letting happen faster than people are expecting and there are other things we’re slow playing,” Kreisberg stated. “Especially with characters like Caitlin and Cisco, there is a certain level of expectation after we very specifically gave them the names we gave them and how that’s going to turn out.”

Season 2 of The Flash premieres October 6, 2015.

Yeah, but that was Bart Allen, Barry and Iris's grandson, also known Kid Flash/Impulse, who is secretly supposed to be from the future. I remember the episode, but I honestly can't remember how bad they fucked up the storyline.

:lol::cool:

I just thought it was interesting because the Arrow and Flash shows previously were not even allowed to use the words: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Gotham and a bunch of other DC characters and places.

The Flash has confirmed that Zoom as the main villain for The Flash’s second season.

The news broke during San Diego Comic Con International's WB TV panel in Hall H. Speaking before a packed crowd, show runner and executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that another yellow-grabbed villain is coming to hunt Barry Allen. But this Zoom isn’t person as The Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne, who is also known as Professor Zoom in the comics.

“He's faster than the Reverse-Flash, faster than Flash and will be very hard to catch,” Kreisberg revealed. “He's going to be terrifying and scary and fast, and it's going to be all kinds of cool.”

It’s possible that Zoom will be Hunter Zolomon, the second man to bear the Reverse Flash Mantel. DC Comics writer Geoff Johns introduced the character during his run on The Flash as Wally West’s iteration of the Professor Zoom rival. However, with the multiverse expected to be a thriving component of The Flash’s second season, it’s also possible that Zoom will be a another world’s version of The Eobard Thawne/Harrison Wells character.

Who do you think the Reverse Flash could be? Are you excited to see another yellow, evil Speedster on the Flash? Let us know in the comments!

The Flash’s second season premiers on October 6 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.

The Flash’ Finds its Wally West in ‘Insurgent’ Star Keiynan Lonsdale

“The Flash” has cast Australian actor Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, the iconic speedster from the DC Comics universe who made his debut as Kid Flash. He’ll appear as a series regular in season two.

In comics canon, Wally is the nephew of Iris West (played in The CW series by Candice Patton) — the love interest and eventual wife of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). While Wally initially served as his uncle’s sidekick and a founding member of the Teen Titans, he later inherited Barry’s mantle as The Flash.

Since Iris doesn’t seem to have any siblings on the show (that we know of), it’s possible that Wally’s origin story will be tweaked for his live-action “Flash” debut. His connection to the West family has yet to be confirmed.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Lonsdale’s casting, “Just like when we met Grant for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

Wally’s involvement in season two of the superhero series was announced at Comic-Con, along with the casting of two more DC Comics characters: another iteration of The Flash, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), and Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten), who will partner with Det. Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) when the show returns this fall. “The Flash’s” Comic-Con panel also revealed that season two’s major antagonist would be Zoom.

Lonsdale’s role follows two recent additions to cast of “The Flash” and “Arrow” spinoff series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” Casper Crump has been confirmed as immortal villain Vandal Savage, while Falk Hentschel will play Carter Hall/Hawkman. Both actors will make their debut in crossover episodes of “The Flash” and “Arrow” to serve as a set-up for the spinoff before “Legends” debuts at midseason.

Lonsdale is represented by Silver Lining Entertainment, ICM, Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams, and Persona PR.

Candyman star Tony Todd has been cast as the voice of the villain Zoom in Season 2 of The Flash.

Zoom will first appear to challenge The Flash (Grant Gustin) in the second episode of the season, “The Flash of Two Worlds.”

“Last year, with the Reverse-Flash, we just modulated Tom Cavanagh’s voice, and this year we wanted to do something a little bit different,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg tells Variety. “Part of the mystery of the season is who or what is underneath the Zoom outfit, and so we wanted to do something like James Earl Jones as Darth Vader — this iconic voice coming out of this mask. Last year, we thought of the Reverse-Flash as a speed warrior; this year, Zoom is like a speed demon, and no one does demon-voice better than Tony Todd.

“The Zoom outfit is much more organic than the Reverse-Flash suit. In a way, it’s hard to tell if it is a suit or alive… There’s no skin showing, for all you know there’s a robot underneath, or dark energy.”

Describing Zoom’s goals and motivation, Kreisberg says, “For us, the best villains are the ones who don’t have megalomaniacal ‘I want to rule the world’ motivations. Last year, the Reverse-Flash had a very simple goal which was, ‘I just want to go home, and if people need to die or cities need to get wasted for me to get that, so be it.’ And Zoom has a very similar, personal goal this season… simple and easy to understand, and very primal. And just as with Wells last year, Zoom doesn’t care who gets hurt or what gets destroyed in the service of him getting his goal.

“We have to service the entire audience, both the fans and the non-fans, and I think we’ve shown up until this point a great deal of respect and reverence for the source material, so that we always feel like we’re fulfilling the comic book fans’ expectations while also not spoon-feeding them stuff directly from the comics. So the story of Zoom and who and what he is… hopefully comic book fans will be happy because we’ve come up with a clever way to spin the tale, but that also makes it exciting for the people who aren’t as familiar with the comics and are just enjoying the show on its own terms.”

The title of Zoom’s first episode takes its name from the first ever comic book crossover between Barry Allen and the Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick.

The Flash Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

http://comicbook.com/2015/08/31/the-flash-casts-tony-todd-as-zoom-in-season-2/

Kreisberg compares Zoom’s appearance to Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man, revealing, “The Zoom outfit is much more organic than the Reverse-Flash suit. In a way, it’s hard to tell if it is a suit or alive… There’s no skin showing, for all you know there’s a robot underneath, or dark energy.”

Unlike last season, which revealed that Cavanagh’s Harrison Wells (or, more accurately, Eobard Thawne) was the Reverse-Flash fairly early on, Kreisberg says the producers intend to draw out the mystery of Zoom “like a horror movie — ‘who’s the killer? Who’s under the mask?’” [...]

DC Comics readers may have their suspicions about Zoom’s identity, but Kreisberg notes, “We have to service the entire audience, both the fans and the non-fans, and I think we’ve shown up until this point a great deal of respect and reverence for the source material, so that we always feel like we’re fulfilling the comic book fans’ expectations while also not spoon-feeding them stuff directly from the comics. So the story of Zoom and who and what he is… hopefully comic book fans will be happy because we’ve come up with a clever way to spin the tale, but that also makes it exciting for the people who aren’t as familiar with the comics and are just enjoying the show on its own terms.”

I hope season 2 is bang'in. Else 90% of it's "fans" are going to turn on the show.

They are about to make a-lot of changes for season 2. I have to say of all the changes tho, I really don't like the idea of Iris playing some kinda Leadership/TC role in the Flash Cave.
