Baseball is a game of streaks. Every great hitter has a 1-20 spell over the course of a season. It can come at any time, including the playoffs. He'll eventually level off. It has nothing to do with being "clutch," just the time-frame.

(A-Rod hit around .360 in his first 6 playoff series. He's struggled in his last 3 or 4. Everything evens out.)
