The Official 2025 And Beyond WNBA Season/Women's Basketball Thread

i think the giannis version of angel sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen. giannis got guards and a stretch center in lopez to spread the floor for his drives. and guards who can knock down a shot if needed. get some guards who can break down a defnse and play good defense.....they'll be better.
That train wrecked at the beginning of the season, Angel Reese isn't good enough of a ball handler or shooter right now to play that role, after the third game she stopped even attempting to shoot the outside shot, teams don't even guard her out there because they know she won't shoot it.

Yes...

Unless they turn it around.... Chi, Dallas and Conn are battling for Top 3 picks in 2026...

Minn could end up with Lauren Betts, Azzi Fudd or Olivia Miles...

Chicago Sky traded their 2026 first-round pick and the right to swap 2026 first-round picks with the Minnesota Lynx to acquire the Lynx's 2025 first-round pick (#11 overall). This means the Lynx will now have Chicago's 2026 first-round pick outright, while Chicago will have the 11th overall pick in the 2025 draft. The Lynx also relinquished their right to swap 2026 first-round picks with the Sky.
Appreciate the breakdown

From the looks of it. Sky players have prob tuned out the out the coach by now. I don't see him lasting after next year if something don't change. Hell they may get rid of him after this year.

Got to thinking. Has there been any successful men that have coached women basketball? Pro or College, other than Geno at UCONN.

I'm sure there are some. I just can't think of any.

Good Question.

Right now, the only Male Coach I can think of who had some success was Bill Laimbeer when he coached The Detroit Shock.
That team later became The Dallas Wings.
