The Official 2025 And Beyond WNBA Season/Women's Basketball Thread

Idk but this one is interesting

I looked at her stats and she had an excellent rookie year:
Boston shot a WNBA-high 57.8 percent from the field, becoming the first rookie to lead the league in that category in a season while also averaging 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocked shots in 31.2 minutes in 40 games.

Boston was selected as a starter for the 2023 WNBA All-Star Game, becoming the sixth rookie to start an All-Star Game and the first since 2014. She was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month in three of the four months of the season (May, June and August).

But without Caitlin, I just don't see it. Y'all think I'm joking but she performs exceptionally bad when she's on it...

Like last night. I forgot what she does and added her. She had 7 points and 3 rebounds at halftime.

In the second half she scored......

ZERO FUCKING POINTS AND GOT ONE FUCKING REBOUND!

ONE!!

@REDLINE
At what point will steph white feel heat?
Caitlin's not there so she has a long leash.

Right know the Liberty and Lynx are the best teams, realistically the Fever just need to be in the top 4-5 to be successful.

I would've said 3 but it's competitive. The Fever aren't playing their best basketball especially without Caitlin.

She definitely sucks when playing ms gulag

When the season started the Fever and fans felt like it was championship or bust.

But the Lynx and Liberty are both 9-0, there's levels to this.
I said soon as they lost a few games all this was talk was going to change; went from we got the best coach in the WNBA, a couple WNBA champions, a defensive player of the year to now we got a bunch of old slow vets that need to be cut and a coach that doesn't know what she's doing..lol

They started slow, the newly hired help wasn't doing shit. Bonner had 10 points in the first four games.

It's not all on her but players weren't performing. It's new players so it'll take some time to mesh before everyone settles into their roles.

Not excuses just the facts, and that's with all the teams with several new players. Some get it together quicker than others.

When/if they lose 2 in a row with Caitlin Clark back and healthy
Hey that's just fucking life!

They ain't the 72 wins Bulls or the 73 wins Warriors, they'll be whoever they are. I'd like them to win, but right now the Lynx and Liberty are the powerhouses and I don't think the Fever can beat them.

why does chicago keep getting blown out?
its more than angel reese. why is that team so bad?
New coach, new system, new offense, new defense, new players.

They had a sailed PG but she got injured, but they were still losing. It's definitely not Angel's fault, she's one player. She gets rebounds and averaged 13 ppg last season.

They don't have the personnel and many times don't look like they know what they're doing.

Coaching and personnel is the problem, hopefully they fix the coaching part soon. Although they got blown out, they still looked a bit better against the champs.

We were expecting them to get beat by 40

"NOW YOU KNOW" "EVERY GAME IS A HOME GAME", best odds to win the championship and Caitlin Clark had best odds to win MVP, won the off-season, the FEVER went hard promoting themselves as a championship team this off-season so for them to be in spot and if they continue to lose a couple with Caitlin Clark in the lineup then yeah Stephanie White will definitely be in the hot seat

Every game's a home game because of the crowds that go to see Caitlin. It doesn't mean that they have the advantage.

I'm not sure what you're smoking on but obviously it's that good shit...

Or bad shit! :roflmao:

Because the charts I saw always had the Lynx and Liberty above the Fever as favorites to win the championship. It was a toss up between Aces and Fever for third but "Favored"?

Nah Buddy

I'll give you the MVP because based on Caitlin's expectant numbers, she was predicted to be high on the list for MVP. But even then I'd say Phee was favored higher.

And if they don't win, everyone except for Caitlin and Kelsey will be on the hot seat!
