{The Official 2021-22 NBA Thread} - Finals: Warriors vs Celtics…{4-2 advantage warriors } Dubs NBA champs, Curry MVP

Huge sigh.

You say Kevin love who hadn't played in the 1st round of the playoffs was a factor in the finals
but then turn around and not mention steph spraining his MCL DURING THE PLAYOFFS as a factor to the cavs championship
then say what i detailed is what happened on the court but didn't think to mention that at all as a possible factor? totally healed up from the MCL in 2 weeks but couldn't drive past the aforementioned kevin love?

so how are we being honest and from the top?

Steph last year did put the franchise on his back and took a group of bums the entire year without trades from gm's to get more help to the 8th spot
and looking at that roster that was a fucking miracle

He'll never get the credit he deserves that's clear and it's all good.

@Day_Carver, we’re having an honest conversation and you’re too much of a homer to see anything that I say about Steph or the Warriors unlike @largebillsonlyplease

Regarding Steph’s knee, man I forgot all about that! Hey man, I’m not purposefully leaving things out to make a case to make me right. If I’m wrong I’ll be wrong and can admit it!

Kevin Love was a factor because he was a starter that was relied on that was missing in the Finals. My point was any team missing two starters in the Finals is probably gonna lose. As the Warriors did against the Raptors.

And you’re right, Steph did put the team on his back last year and I believe I acknowledged that.

What we were initially speaking about is how you stated that you remembered us questioning Steph last year and you’re right. I just mentioned why we questioned him.

Steph’s the man though, the greatest shooter ever and one of if not the most exciting player to watch in the league.

Kerr is ACTUALLY coaching this year not going through the motions thankfully
I've been complaining about that shit for 2 years
this is what coaching looks like
got an entire new staff to develop young players instead of sending them somewhere else then expecting them to contribute.
if teams score 4 or 6 points in a row he doesn't sit there he calls a timeout.

that's all i asked. just TRY

Moody idk about i don't know where he fits in but he seems like an OK player

Kuminga is going to be a monster and you can tell because Kerr has him on the court and Kerr don't fuck with rookies like that
Kuminga is only 19 and won't be 20 until next October.

You have been complaining about Kerr!

He may win his 3rd MVP this year if he keeps it up.

Question is will he sustain it throughout the playoffs like the great ones do ( *cough* Lebron, Jordan, etc. ) or disappear like he always does?

So let's start over now that you've seen the actual stats that say what you're saying is tangibly not true.

Can he sustain it? Of course he can he always does he just needs to stay healthy.

But saying he's a great shooter or the greatest shooter is becoming a diss now because it leaves out everything else he does and how good he's become in every other aspect of the game.

He's the evolution of a point guard.
One who is just as good with the ball as he is without it.

The point guard's job is to facilitate
Create easy shots for the rest
Control the Pace
and score when needed.

When 4 people jump to him and leave someone wide open so draymond can make an easy pass was that because draymond is a wizard or because Steph is leading the offense?

His defense was absolutely TERRIBLE up until a few years ago and he's gotten better at it every year since.
Last year they were a top 10 defense with no klay in the lineup
this year he's next to jordan poole there are no ways to super hide him they're #1 in the league EARLY but the effort is there.

he couldn't do that 6 or 7 years ago and it'll still go unnoticed
this is for everyone not you
he's still underrated because we as in everyone only talk about the fact that he can shoot the ball
but he has the 1a handles in the NBA next to kyrie cause if all he could do is shoot but not drive by you and get his shot any time he wants he'd be kyle korver

Don’t take it as a negative when myself and others call him the best shooter ever as if we’re taking away from his other skills.

It’s just that he’s an amazing and magical shooter!

As a person who watches and plays basketball, I’m just amazed at watching him shoot. We’ve all seen good shooters and great shooters, Steph’s just a shooter we’ve never seen so that’s what we’re stuck on.

Yes he’s a great overall basketball player.

Now you’ve definitely seen more Warriors games than me, but I never thought Steph was a horrible defender. He stays in front of his man and does his job. He doesn’t get his ankles broken and was a solid defender. Most players can’t be stopped offensively especially good ones.

Back to Steph’s shooting and why that’s what we’re focused on. The man made 105 3 pointers on a row!

I just can’t even put into words just how crazy that was.:smh:

Thats the thing; its not about being a homer nor are you having an "honest conversation"; really what you were doing was spewing narratives about steph that wasnt true or slighted; now @largebillsonlyplease kindly dismantled everything that you were saying; but he does that all the time when people claim they want to have an "honest discussion" about steph; I just dont care to do it anymore; I appreciate greatness, whether its KD or Giannis or LBJ or Steph; and I dont create ridiculous talking points just because I may like or may not like a player....

Yall gonna win tonight. Mobley,Allen,Sexton and Lauri(from protocols)are out....Karen might play tonight, coming back from league protocols.

It's mind boggling that this team starts off great two seasons in a row and injuries hit this team.
