That's what I hate about this new NBA. They'll crown someone before they go to the playoffs or win a playoff series.Can muthaphuckas wait til the player go to the Conference Finals before crowning him.
Glenn has to go. He's a fuckin dumbass. I want Dave Joerger to take over as coach. I think that would be the right thing but since it probably is the Sixers won't do it.
So you feel that Doc has peaked as a coach & will never take a team higher than round 2? This is his ceiling now.
Doc most likely has a higher floor but you feel Dave Joerger would coach the Sixers better than Memphis & was only scratching the surface of his potential?
If they make it to the ECF or beyond would that extend Doc another year?
Or regardless of the outcome of this season you want the team to replace him?

The bigger elephant is Harden's contract. If he opts out they'll be expected to extend him. Otherwise they traded away a key player (regardless of his status & bitchness), draft picks & good role players for a rental Harden & a 2nd round exit again. Seems like a big L for Philly. But since James doesn't look like the guy who left Houston, does it make sense to extend him & take such a big L?
The top available free agents are probably Beal & LaVine who may leave their teams. Who do you want in a realistic scenario to improve the teams chances to break their glass ceiling?
I think even Harden knows he's not getting a big extended contract. He'll take the 47 mil on the last year of his deal for next year. After that, his ass is gone if he continues to play the way he's playing. The idea of one last max deal for him is dead. Hell, Morey might be out with him next year. He hasn't done shit either. What I don't like about today's NBA is not necessarily that players can carry but that they can carry the ball and the defender can't even lay a finger on the ball handler. They just want high scoring games. But it's not ALL skill. They get away with a lot more now. That's why comparing between Era is dumb. Rules change

When a player jumps he’s defenseless and can fall in a variety of ways. It was a reckless play with lots of contact.
