When they played the Titans people thought with the way the Titans had played the previous week that they had a chance of beating the Patriots...WRONG. Jacksonville was supposed to have the best defense in the league and was guaranteed to beat the Patriots, they had everybody’s hopes up for 3 and a half quarters and then BOOM...WRONG AGAIN!!!. That comeback reminded everybody of the Super Bowl comeback from last year so now no one even wants to get their hopes up thinking the Eagles will pull off a miracle, BUT they will be watching

We’re nearing the end of another professional sports season, which means title-contending athletes are again being asked whether they plan to celebrate a title with President Donald Trump at the White House.


First up for this Super Bowl week?

Philadelphia Eagles lineman Chris Long.

“No I’m not going to the White House,” Long told a Barstool Sports podcast. “Are you kidding me?”

Seeing as how Long was a member of the New England Patriots last season, this could be the second straight year he has to make a decision.

Long skipped the Patriots visit last year after the team won Super Bowl LI.

“My son grows up, and I believe the legacy of our president is going to be what it is, I don’t want him to say, ‘Hey dad, why’d you go [to the White House] when you knew the right thing was to not go?’ ” Long said at the time.

Long has been among the most vocal players in the NFL on social matters of all stripes. He was lauded by many, including former President Barack Obama, for donating all of his 2017 game checks to fund scholarships in his hometown of Charlottesville and promoting educational equality in Philadelphia, Boston and St. Louis. And while he has stood for the national anthem himself, he showed support for teammate Malcolm Jenkins by putting an arm around him during the song before a preseason game.

He also defended Colin Kaepernick when some media organizations and meme mills tried to use Long’s game-check donations to cast the former 49ers quarterback in a bad light.

Time will tell if Long again gets the opportunity to say “thanks, but no thanks” to a White House visit. If so, he’d join Olympians like Lindsey Vonn and Adam Rippon as athletes who are skipping a 2018 visit to the People’s House.

However, I hate the Eagles less. I never really hated the Eagles, I just don’t care for the fans. I’ve lived in Philly proper and suburbs now for 7yrs.

When Philly teams are winning they are super arrogant. When they are losing they are super angry and bullies.

Patriots fans I dealt with in undergrad. Hard to say this, but they are a magnitude worse than Eagles/Philly fans. I hate the Patriots and all fans associated with New England and Boston teams.

Celtics are the exception when they had Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen and Ant Walker.

Other than that the whole of Boston can fall into the sea. Since they rarely lose they don’t know how to be anything but sore losers.

It's not even that. I'm a Browns fan, my team is never even close to the playoffs. But in the past, I have been excited for the Super Bowl, but this season it's just not so much.

BGOL is a good representation of life, last year when the Pats played the Falcons i remember on here, on social media and in real life the celebration was on. Thinking the Pats had lost dudes on BGOL were going in on you, on social media Falcons fans were celebrating talking about what stripclub the victory party was gonna be at, strippers were twerking thinking about the $$$$$ and in real life people know i’m a Pats fan and were calling/texting me asking me what happened. THEN all of a sudden the Falcons ruined all that.
