Before I look up the vid I wanna say that I thought the draft was fixed when LeBron went to Cleveland.
I wonder if they had to buy the pick or if they see it as best for the league to have this young yet talented basketball player go to his home team because he'd be comfortable there. Wouldn't in make sense to give him the best chance to succeed?

To start off, I'd like to say that many "fans" of the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL often overlook that these are professional organizations and are ran as such...
Now as far as the 85 Draft being fixed, I can believe that, but it didn't start there...It started in the 79-80 season, when the two biggest stars in the college game entered the NBA Draft...That's right, Bird and Magic. And where did they go? Exactly...
And there are a few things that have been mentioned that are "business" moves in the league...LeBron to Cleveland was one, Shaq and Penny to Orlando was another...I mean come on folks...what were the "odds" of one team getting the #1 pick two years straight?
...oh, and Duncan to San Antonio could be included, too...
