What's up folks!!! As most of you know a few months ago I started a thread for all the insomniacs of the board. That particular thread is a spot for those of us who are up late and logged on to come through and holla at each other...Well now, I'm bringing that concept to day time hours. Welcome to the Mid-Day/Evening Thread. This thread will give us all another option when it comes to communicating, sharing ideas, venting, etc. For those of us who post in the "Insomnia Thread", this can also be a way to bridge the gap between the day and (late) nights when we normally meet there. The Insomnia Thread is a late night version of what I hope this will be. Hopefully, as this thread picks up some momentum, both threads will be cool place for all the brothers and sistas to hang out in until it's time to get back to our real lives... Anyway, Ladies and Gents this is "The Mid-Day", let's get this party started...

It's a common sci-fi theme, check out West World as one of the first, and of course the Matrix.

You speak of, " Farewell to the Master ", yes the ending is tripped out!

I don't know if this 2008 remake will have ANYTHING to do with that storyline.

I try to stay away from any sci fi that's too overly "kill the world" and "robots take over". It creeps me out...never let an 8 year old watch Terminator...

I don't think the new movie has much to do with the short story either after reading the synopsis. Just wondering what else Hollywood is going to dust off and remake horribly in the next year...




Speaking of epic fails I'm waiting on the first disappointing sighs from the Chun Li flick...

Women, get off your damn cell phones on the highway during the drive home.

There is NOTHING so important it can not wait. Why jeopardize your own safety, and the safety of others? :dunno:

It IS a distraction, you are NOT paying attention to the road, your response time to your environment IS effected.

If you start a lane change into MY lane and fail to head check because your looking at, or ON your damn phone, you are essentially fucking with MY life over a text message.

Today has been a fucked up and rainy day. I got soaked at one point as I was walking from one building to another. The crazy thing about it is that the building I was going to was the one I left my umbrella in. And it was just my luck that just before I got there the torrential down pour that followed me on the way there decided to end...There's even a light rain coming down right now.
