The Fried Apple Pie will return to participating restaurants nationwide beginning June 22nd for a limited time. The fan-favorite dessert originally debuted in 1968 and developed a cult following before being replaced by the baked version in most U.S. locations. Now, after years of requests from customers, the crispy fried classic is making its return!

The Fried Apple Pie McFlurry is the ultimate dessert mashup. Note: The Fried Apple Pie McFlurry shown is a custom concept and is not an official McDonald’s menu item.

I remember when McDonalds had the pie a-la-mode for a while. It had the fried pie, soft serve on top and your choice of caramel, hot fudge or strawberry topping. It was heaven. So this McFlurry may bring back some memories.
