people who sit around and brag about how "mature" they are need to do some soul searching. mothafuckas act like they're above joking around, mothafucka get a clue.

This thread was never about bragging about maturity. It was more about fostering discussion. If you read what I wrote, I wanted opinions from all sides. I would post this thread on the other side but it wouldn't last 2 minutes on the front page without porn. I don't think anyone is above joking around, but lately cats have been out of line. I know for a fact that cats from the main board are lurking over here and they should feel welcome to debate my point.

Aristotle did you consider the effects of asking such a question? If you are complaining about the actions, and maturity level of some of the newer members, don't you think they will see this and then become even more objectionable? When you give people a list of thing that irritate you, and they enjoy irritating you then they are probably going to do all those things on the list. Femme should delete this thread it's not healthy for the site in general. I'm willing to bet 98% of the people in this thread came to the site because of the main board, so what's the deal with playing the SOL is better than BGOL thing. Remember with out the main board there's wouldn't be a SOL. I say let's not play that game, the fastest way to start a war is to put a wall between people. I figure every body should live on both boards. Or if you're willing to go thought the effort, and it's quite minimal you can go register your own domain, and start your own site, pay for your own hosting, and bandwidth. Spend the time developing a community...etc..etc.

This thread reminds me of some school daze kind of stuff. This is not cool!

Tell you what, if this thread causes an uproar on the other side, I'll delete it myself, but it wasn't intended to cause a riot.

I did indeed consider the effect it might have (even your point of view) and many have embraced the question regardless. It's not a judgment, it's an observation. I never state that SOL is better than BGOL as SOL is part of the overall community. They each serve their purpose.

As far as the threads like the rape one, men, talk a certain way around women, and another around one another, that is why I believe certain women, still post and lurk on the main board. I seriously don't believe half these dudes even read what they post, and half of them probably don't realize there is a preview button...but once again, I can point out a few threads here that could be an indication of lack of maturity...

A Coward's going to be a coward, hypocrite is going to be him/her & a child is always going to be a child no matter how you slice it; especially when factors of net anonymity, aliases, lack of proof and other vehicles that allow some to hide behind they're screens and there's not much you can do about it except deal with it head on, wittness and understand it or avoid it; the marketing of porn and soft minds falling victim to it (the themes, plots, over abundance not truly based on reality, etc) mixed with free speech can 'produce' some 'characters'

From experience, there are a few post that I dont even enter KNOWING how its going to turn out especially knowing some of these kats dont have to be accountable for their actions nor thoughts they type nor even have to be sympathetic to be forced to others realities

It wasn't always this way but over the last couple of years many of the cast that used to make BGOL "the board" moved on. This new group of characters lack the maturity to pour water out of a pail and it shows in their comments.

Kudos to the thread starter! This is sooo on point. I rarley even visit the main board now. I mean it's a porn board so there is gonna be disrespect of women here an there..But some stuff is just childish.

As far as men are concerned, SOL attracts the men who are mature enough to actually have dialogue with women - the men who actually LIKE and RESPECT women and see them as peers, not objects or underlings.

What tripped me out was the SOL hate thread where some dudes were actually hurt and offended at its creation...like it takes something away from them as men for women to be women on the board

There are ways to embarrass somebody online, hell, you might even be able to physically reach out to someone, myself included, if you do your research, and you really feel that strongly about it...There are programs you can write, or search out that will allow you to do some amazing things, as in life, a person's skill set is going to differentiate from what you can and can't do...

SOL seems like the antithesis of BGOL. Don't let a couple of clowns scare you off from the main board. Put them on ignore and continue to participate rather than running away.

I agree with the OP and I'm not defending BGOL but it has changed for the better compared to how it was years ago ,as far as the majority going out of their way to make females feel they weren't welcome.

That being said,I was happy to see that the females that frequent here have a place of their own now.
It was long overdue.

I have a question for the ladies.
How come y'all don't participate more on the political board or random political threads on BGOL?
It would be cool to hear a woman's perspective.

I'm still relatively new to the board but I have to say that I do feel a lot more comfortable posting in SOL as most of the posters over here seem to have a much more mature outlook on life and handle on e-social interaction.

Immaturity is just one facet of the human experience and I guess some people just feel comfortable indulging their childishness for longer than ios realistically appropriate.

I see they are trying to do something similar here, but the level of aggression here is nothing like it was when I came on-board. I mean damn, I was posting basically positive shit, and got like three threads full of all the major posters having something to say. Including many of the so-called "mature" posters listed in an above list. But, many pple are new here, and don't know a lot about the poster's activity...

When I say programs, I'm speaking outside the culture of BGOL(ie owning, and posting pics(whatever happened to that)) this is a php based board, not difficult at all to hack into, just a matter of resourcefulness actually...

well, SOL started with the premise that we are supposed to be "nice" over here. however, with recent events of the last few days, I forsee the policy changing somewhat. I hope there won't be too many more of these but i certainly intend to handle them if and when they come.

women are very intuitive creatures. we can tell when its another woman typing thru the screen. notice that many new women nobody knows came foward and there hasn't been any problem until the last few days. i wouldn't want everyone to go thru alot of bullshit but when shit is suspect i hope we can air it out without fear of banishment.
