How to steal ten dollars
He put down $50 total and walked away with $40. So he scammed himself out of $10
What about the unseen 30 dollar item. He walked away with $40 plus $30 worth of whatever = $70
Then gave dude a ten back with his twenty to confuse him. 70 - 10 = 60 - the 50 you say he put he's up 10.
Think about it this way:
The money he walked away with (that he didn't start with) was the other guy's $20. The money he gave up to the other guy was $30. So he ended up losing $10. The other $20 was his money to begin with.
Looking at it from the other guy's perspective, he gave up $20 and is walking away with $30.
Dude at the table put up 30 worth of something unseen plus 20 for some dumb reason = 50
Talker put up 20 in the first drop took 40 basically gave sitting man back his own 20 and a ten so at that point took sitting man's 20 gave him back 10 in cash and took the 30 dollar item plus 10 in cash
The other guy's perspective is he gave

Hold on when he said I'm going to buy that for 30 dollars is he talking about the 40 dollars sitting there and not an item sitting dude is selling? Which 20 of it is his? That wouldn't make any sense. Nah why is sitting dude there is he not selling something?
