The Manifesto

Every shook eye ain't seen, every goodbye ain't gone
Ain't no rest for the weary yo forever it's on
The Manifesto, establishes a hip-hop order
Movin upon the face of the water, like Reflections

From open mics to solutions I got a collage of answers
and a ten point program, just like the Black Panthers
One: First respect yourself as an artist
If you don't respect yourself then your rhymes is garbage
Two: Make sure your crew is as tight as you
cause when them niggaz fallin off they gonna bring you down too
Three: Understand the meaning of MC
The power to Move the Crowd like Moses split the seas
Four: Know your shit and don't ever be blunted
If you don't know what your words mean then your rhymes mean nothin
Five: Kick facts in the raps, and curse with clarity
What's a curse when language is immersed in vulgarity
Six: We gonna fix industrial poli-tricks
Shit they made an artform out of ridin dicks
Seven: We soldiers for God needin new recruits
So if you rhymin for the loot then youse a prostitute
but Eight: Acknowledge that you need food on your plate
In order to say your grace make sure your business is straight
Nine: We buildin black minds with intelligence
and when you freestyle, keep the subject matter relevant
Ten: Every MC grab a pen
and write some conscious lyrics to tell the children
I'll say it again, every MC find you a pen
And drop some conscious shit for our children

This post inspired me . . . . . .

Hip Hop is in danger
I appreciate this kweli spit because of my anger
There are no bangers
No head nodders
No freestyle proper
Rap city is a joke
I grew up when hip hop was hope
Remember when KRS one spoke
That was Peruvian uncut dope
I survived the eighties
only to see men act like ladies
shirts off for other dudes? These actors ain't thugs, they ain't shady
They are
CACs trying to play me <----- Mixtape voice, " Shouts out to Lasagna Sean, I'm in your fridge Ninja . . . CLUE . . .Clue Clue . . . !! "

As far as I'm concerned
Tell me an MC whose respect has been earned
You can't
All of their flash is from the dollars burned
Videos full of rented cars, guns, and girls
Ninja I got guns, peep my world
I got women, willin for the sinnin so what, I seek the winnin
I don't wanna see that, weak crap
Show me a story or a tale, because off hip hop I can't bail

The rap used to be the education
Now it's intelligence it's taking
I'm Militant because my culture it's raping
A bunch of Wayne Clones steady faking
While the minds of the kids are like recorders steady taping
for re-enact
These kids don't see the fact
What they repeat ain't hip hop, it ain't rap
The manifesto we must all do
Black men, where are you?
Stop trying to do what the percevied hard do
Hard is independence taking care of self
Hard is loving black women like no one else
Hard is investing in your hard work for wealth
Stop the sleep sheep
Peace

Dat shit was nice! You got mad talent son.

 @ the shout out. Good looks b. :dance:Chyea!

tales told and lies sold
when do we find goals
resolved and without mold
did you see young B?
straight A student, see?
four charges in a charger
what these young sargeants
need to learn to be larger...?

what the fuck is entertainment
if only leads to contain men?
life inside them bars
AIN"T LIFE
I'm here to tell you
scars, bars, and always on guard,
aint' shit compared to a degree
and never worried about being free..
fuck these songs got us saying
blood drained he was laying
on a pillow made with his brains
mama still spitting out the drain...
what the hell so cool
about murder and no school
no thought about the future
dance, laughs and hate for your suitors
brothas wake the fuck up
its a small world that cares about you
if you would only express YOU grown up...

*takes the muthafuckin mic*

Its funny how niggas spread the responsibility,
when they feel like they don't have the ability
to be the remedy
of situation
people acting stuck like they are probation,
here's the revelation
The black family died back in the seventies,
black women went to the business communities,
black man serving life in the penitentiary,
niggas on herion and crack cocaine
shit was fuck when the 80's came..
90's here,
bloods and crips are feared,
more people in prison we hold dear,
Now it's the 2000's, my generation is paying the cost,
Black women is still lost,
and I suppose to take a loss?

So I develop a different way,
like Eddie Murphy I'm about to Trade that Place,
like Chalie Boy I'm about to make my way,
my way or the highway,
I open my eyes to all ways,
always...
so please get out my way,
if you must got to hate,
my hustle, and my faith

in God... and Jesus Christ...
Im willing to take that price,
if I have somewhere to sleep at night,
Thats not even in spite...

My, my, my... you still know how to knock my socks off, don't you...

i decree that the children of the corn,
ain't got shit on us first solar drenched humans born,
better us than them
we try to think
but wake up to the sound of thinking
blinking in our own dismay
asking imagined saviors
why it is this way...

i pray to creators lived and died
why?
did i hit the lines one too many times?
did i,
manipulate too many dimes?
did commit one too many crimes...
am i,
less than the rest
because i fought the questions bravely..
they don't play with lil j no more
is it because i ain't afraid to say what lil j think?
whether on my own
or the middle of the herd
i'm going to speak it like i thought it was GOD i heard...

every one is an equal
blessed to be the creator's sequel..
never aim for less
than what your heart has blessed...
never worry 'bout what they think about your disposition...
where would malcolm have made it if he worried about his position...?
no extra energy needed or given
reflect on the "indians"
if you ever need a reason to believe we GOD's children....

let me understand how to communicate with black people,
constructive criticism is considered illegal,
its considered self-hatred when you don't wanna discuss dumb people,
yet we need to stay worried about white people,
when black families aren't stable,
if you say a way to make more people quite able,
they persecute you like your first name was ABEL,
asking you why you believe the "white man's fable",
I'm only try to make a new generation enable,
to get the real meal at the American Table,
fuck getting scraps, living in slave stables,
yet I'm the one selling out my people?

yet all I hear is complaints, and whines
asking when its going to be OUR time,
no one wants to know its has been OUR time,
its really a silent crime,
to remind,
that this country is ours and MINE,
its a fine line,
from opportunity from the welfare line,
yet black people wanna whine,
then grind,
want handouts instead of redefine the "line",
America worship money, yet we are being left behind...

man i got to go to work ya'll...
