this dropped a few years ago but you can't really compare the 2 cause most japanese flix like this are ultra-violent and funny. shit's kind of goofy but if you watch it blazed it's all right.

Not really comparable but you can tell where the inspiration and idea came from. The more I look outside of hollywood and into foreign films I see where hollywood takes it's ideas from. Like the movie Departed by Martin Scorsese. My favorite film never expected that story to be lifted and re-adapted from a Hong Kong movie called Infernal Affairs which also has a sequel. Check the movie section for it, good movies.
