In continuation of old school sitcoms! What was up with Lionel changes and disappearance acts? Where is the show finale too? Didn't hear too much backstage problems with this show. Weezy really was that old when the show began?

To start it off..........Louise's nekkid painting in tribute to BGOL:lol:

PT.2

PT.3

I did notice they toned down George a lot. In fact the whole show, but still had its classics though.

george's reaction to seeing that naked woman at the end of that episode

got the one where george and louise were remembering when the first cleaners store opened on the same day that MLK was assassinated?

..or the one where george saved that Klan members's life w/ CPR(him at the end:"you shouldve let me die.." :smh: )

The MLK one is one of my all-time faves and the same with the Klan one. I'll have to get back to those.

Jenny's thesis pt.2

The other two parts aren't embedding for some reason.

i had thought this was a 2 part episode, the way how it ended..when dude told jenny that the youngest member of their gang died she just stood there like

EDIT:for some strange reason the syndicated versions cut off at the part where he tells her that huey died

The greatest Black TV show ever, I debate this every summer with my homeboys

No, not the greatest black sitcom ever but the greatest sitcom of all time. No other TV show could’ve given you 10 years of laughs! Usually after 3 to 4 years, other comedy shows fall off.

Agreed. But the range of topics and the way they tackled them was brilliant.

That was a great cast from Sherman "George" Hemsley " to Ned Wertimer who played Ralph The Doorman who was always angling for a tip. :)

Me and Mr. G. was the 122nd overall episode of The Jeffersons TV series, also the 11th episode of Season 6. Directed by Bob Lally and written by MIchael G. Moye, the episode made its premiere on CBS-TV on December 30, 1979.
Synopsis
Louise is excited that a children's program sponsored by the Neighborhood Help Center is allowing her to have an orphan girl, Abby, stay with her for a week. However, when Abby acts like George after meeting him, Abby is sent back to the center.

Storyline
Louise is excited when she gets to have an orphan stay at the Jeffersons' apartment for a week. However, when she and Florence go out to the store and leave George in charge, some of his prejudiced attitudes rub off on the impressionable young lady leading to what was supposed to be a week stay turning into only a few hours.
