The Impeachment Hearings , House Vote and Eventual Trial ..All Updates ...AS EXPECTED... TRUMP SKATES

Look I don’t want too stick up for the republicans but that’s the same thing the democrats did when they had the house hearings. They would not allow the republicans to call there own witnesses and they also were having secret meetings. You can not be selfish and have it both ways. You can do the same sneaky things you did during house meetings and then complain why the republicans are doing the same shit during the senate.

Then you wonder why people don’t trust the media like they use too.

You didn't pay attention at all during the house hearings did you?

There were 2 or 3, but they wanted the Biden's and the house refused to call them because they aren't relevant. Search the news stories from the time, they had a list. Do a search on Matt Gaetz storming the scif stunt also.

Ok can you name the witness the republicans called why are they bitching that Trump did not get a chance to call witness in the house ?

Just go to Reuters. All the other shit is a joke.

Just the fact that you don't know what you're talking about here... speaks volumes about why you think things are the way that they are.

For real fun, go back and look at any previous impeachment inquiries, in particular the ones held with Republican leadership, The GOP has basically been complaining that Democratic leadership ran the inquiries almost identical to the ones they ran prior.

I was asking which witnesses did the republicans get to call. I see them complain all the time on TV.

but at the end of the day why complain I already know the outcome. By next week trump will be acquitted and it’s back to the same shit.

Democrats got there impeachment and then the republicans got there acquittal.

you really need to do your own homework. the gop is lying everyday. and you come here and post those same lies.

you clearly are not performing your own impartial research.

yes, they were able to and did call witnesses during the process at the house of representatives. in addition to that they were able to cross examine any witness that was presented. they are lying.

Fourskinner really doesn't understand what's happening or only watches Faux news.

The president declined to participate, claiming executive privilege but didn't do it officially, blocked all witnesses and subpoenas. Then the bitch ass GOP is attacking the whistleblower and not the criminals.

That's like if I send the police ring videos of you stealing packages and you have the police attack me for filming you and insist I come forward to explain.

You really don't understand how it is supposed to work. Trump has effectively taken away every single check on the presidency. I hope AOC wins and declares guns illegal, gay marriage mandatory and solar and wind power for all.

I understand executive privilege. The president has every right to use executive privilege. It’s like if the police are asking for documents or they want to talk to me. I have every right to deny the police and I have every right not to talk to them and seek a lawyer.

When trump used executive privilege. The democrats are suppose to go to the Supreme Court and get a court order. When the executive branch does not want to comply thats when you seek the judical branch.

The democrats choose not to go to the Supreme Court. Which is fine. You can say you do not want to go to court because it will take a while.
But it does not make sense to impeach a president and then when you go to trial your still asking for witnesses and documents? Because when you ask for witnesses your still going to have to go to court. Which makes no sense at all. You could of gathered all your evidence and witnesses in the house. The senate is just a judge and jury.

It’s like if I get arrested by the FBI and when we finally go to court. The FBI is telling the judge they still need more documents and witness testimony! to prove I’m guilty what do you think the judge will do? He will throw out the case.

That’s why the FBI takes a long time to investigate someone because they have to make sure they have all there evidence and witnesses on record. Anything missing will get there case thrown out.

I've never seen an innocent person fight so hard to stop people from testifying on his behalf. This makes no sense.

Executive privilege cannot be used to mask wrong doing, the same as Atty client privilege. It has been ruled in the past that it does not apply to impeachment proceedings. Anything classified can be discussed in closed session.

Aw man I swear some people can be conscientiously stupid: they know and they act like they don't know.

Just a simple GOOGLE search, in a memo dated November 9, 2019, Devin Nunes, ranking House Republican, wrote a letter to Adam Schiff requesting the following witness:

  1. Devon Archer
  2. Hunter Biden
  3. Alexandra Chulpa
  4. David Hale
  5. Tim Morrison
  6. Nellie Ohr
  7. Kurt Volker
  8. The Whistleblower
  9. Any individual involved in drafting the memo on behalf of The Whistleblower

The bolded in red were summoned and gave testimony and were given EQUAL time to be questioned by both sides.

So this nonsense coming from the Reich Wing about they weren't able to call witnesses is horse shit.

That’s like saying if I don’t want to talk to the police I’m guilty. And also if you really wanted those documents all you had to do is go to court!

That’s what they did in the Clinton trial. They hired a special prosecutor and when Clinton used executive privilege. The house went to court and Clinton was forced to comply via court order.

The house gathers evidence and witness testimony and then after they file impeachment charges. The senate judges the articles and they make a final decision.

Especially if I know the GOP controls the senate I’m going to make sure I have everything complete. I’m not going to half ass do a job and then complain about witnesses when you could of called them in the house floor.

I find out a non-partisan version. This explains everything. You can’t listen to fox news or cnn. They will fuck you over.

So again, you haven't been following this. Before I supply the answers, I have a few questions.

Why was there not a special prosecutor for Trumps impeachment?

Why did the house conduct closed session depositions? Who was present? Who asked questions during the depositions? Hint: the transcripts are online.

What did Clinton claim executive privilege over? What did they go to court over? Was it successful?

Thank you. As a matter of fact, it doesn't apply the same as other privileges/rights because it's not a criminal trial, and because the people who wrote the Constitution were very much aware that, should an impeachment occur, they absolutely would need to review certain executive items/witnesses.

Also, it doesn't apply here in the same fashion as with Clinton because (IIRC) Clinton was trying to restrict specific items using the privilege. You can't just say "every thing is privileged" (which is much of the Trump team argument), and then literally refuse to let any information be released.

The Clinton question I asked is actually a trick question. I don't think he is going to catch it, but again Google is FREE.

Edit: actually I think I messed that question up so nevermind...lol...

Conscientious stupidity at its finest

If this was a real impeachment trial. The house would have hired a independent prosecutor. So you can show that there is no partisan bias between the branches of government

It happen in both Nixon and Clinton. That’s why you had both party’s vote in a bi-partisan fashion.

When you just have the house doing the investigation it taints it which is why impeachment has been voted strictly along party lines.

I totally understand now
