Funny just a year ago with the S2 people were saying the same thing about Samsung. It's not until the S3 that Samsung got updates first, and that might change some with Motorola if they exclusively get the Nexus.
Some are reporting poor build quality.

I didn't have to. I tried several of them on the weekend. Is is NOT as smooth as the S3 or iphone.
Beautiful screen, high quality feel, that's it.
I liked the build better on the last one but I didn't like the software. The Samsung was more innovative to me in that department. I'm still not really feeling the plastic feel of the Samsung but it's build hasn't given me any trouble. I will wait for the S4 to drop so that I can review them both.

damn near all the same features as the iphone...better than retina display, cant take out the battery...has a home button....iphonish look...VERY comparable to my wife's i-phone 5.
so again i say...its just an iphone made by HTC.
but it DOES have flash.

Just got this phone. I love it. HTC does a really good job with there type feedback. The screen is really vivid the speakers are not as loud as I imagined but then again this is a cell phone.

HTC One is not great quality. My son had two of them. First one just screen just went black. just stopped working.
Second one screen shattered when he dropped his PS3 controller on it. No shit. Saw a buddy of his with the screen shattered the exact same way. I've dropped Blackberrys and Iphones numerous times. screen never even cracked.
He continued to his use it until guess what. screen went black. googled it and it's a known issue with these phones. Looks great when it's working...

it has andrid 4.1 i think. that means it prolly does not support flash out the box.
