In Islam, those verses were "revealed" to Muhammad during times of war as well. All the Chapters in the Qur'an need to be taken in their proper Context. The same goes with the Torah.

But you can't deny the fact that BOTH BOOKS (In their Proper Historical Context) do TEACH to KILL those who Go Against their GOD.

That is not ironic, rather he is a man admitting his weakness. NO Christian is above having basic human needs, men and women are weak. Even in weakness, a person can find strength to over shortcomings in life. Obviously that is one of his struggles (thorns in his side).

People attack things they don't understand and fear. When I wanted know about Islam, I read the Q'uran, when I wanted to know about Hinduism, I read the Bhagavad Ghita, when I wanted to know about Confucianism, I read the writings of Confucius, when I wanted to know about witchcraft, I read and studied the practices of witchcraft. A lot of people on this board are afraid of and angry about "Christianity" and rationalize their opinions by making negative statements. I said in another post, go read, study, pray and meditate to receive the wisdom to understand, and see (the third eye) the true nature of the God head. That is the only way you will understand because right now you are too wrapped up in a blanket of confusion. There is a distinct difference in what a man will want you to know, and a revelation (epiphany) will reveal to you. Been there, done that.
