The Folding Phone Impressions!

just got mine yesterday, still setting it up. Did you cop?
I got the blue z flip 7 and the white watch classic 8. The watch 8 is more comfortable than the watch classic 6 but the only reason I got it is because I lost my old one. There were reviews complaining about the screen size but specs say its slightly larger than the 43mm 6 classic I had and the screen area definitely looks larger to my eyes, not even including the white bezel and the silver spinner. Ppl who had the 47mm might not like it tho. In fact I'm thinking of getting a screen protector for it because it seems more open and not as protected. I love how the default watch face changes but I'm going see what else is available.

I've got the phone mostly set up except the ring and alarm tones but I haven't switched the sim yet.

I prefer the feel of the flip 4 in it's case tho. I have the clear Samsung ring case but I'm going to have to get another silicone one with some grip to it or I'm going to drop this thing. The phone is definitely thinner than the flip 4 and also taller and wider. It's almost as wide as the s22 Ultra and not as comfortable to hold as the flip 4. I like the larger screen area, I'm making fewer mistakes on the key board, but I would have been OK with the width of the flip 4. Also the hinge is raised slightly above the screen when opened, instead of flush with it. It hasnt caused an issue during use tho.

The screen crease on this thing is like butta tho. I have to actually look for it to find it. Running my finger down the screen I can barely feel it.

I have a couple of cases coming today. Since the phone is so thin I haven't been able to really find one with a finger ring that connects both sides. I didn't need hinge protection with the old one because of how the case was designed. Hopefully a different case will make the phone feel better and more secure to hold. I always end up buying a lot of cases and only ever using one.

I have a mag safe cover coming where I can connect a mag safe finger ring. I want the Samsung stand charger but I don't think the phone cases coming are qi2.1 certified.

The only thing that made me mad tho is that I have to use a 6 digit pin to confirm pin without tapping OK. This really triggered me for some reason....lol. There used to be a workaround but it doesn't work in One UI 8. Also the search being at the bottom since One UI 7. I updated the s22 ulta and skipped it on my flip 4 for that reason.

It's growing on me but the excitement i had with the flip 4 isn't there. I don't really care about the camera quality and haven't played around with the cover screen yet. The speakers on both are set to balance. The flip 7 seems louder but the 4 sounds richer. I haven't used it for calls yet. I'll play around with it.

oh ok, i never used the flip. I noticed the 6 digit pin change as well. But the Fold 7 so far is ok. I only purchased it because i wanted a fold and the Open 2 got cancelled, and the Honor Magic 5 was too much to import.

Mine just got delivered. I probably won't power it up until Sunday. Got a few thing to do this afternoon and work tomorrow. Sunday is a free day. Plus I need a case. My 1st foldable. I hope im not disappointed

What ever you are use to doing is easier for you to do. We cannot claim create for so many things keep from us such as passing on whole truth. Star Trek was 1967 and 1968 when it started and they had flat screen television, ray guns, cell phones, etc. Which meant they had been trying to back engineer it for a long time. They getting richer while the masses get poorer except those they can easily control.
Great technology but I wonder about some of the stuff hid.
