Bruh, i posted an article last year, but it was from wired in late 2024......

The amount of shit a tandom person could find out about you, just from buying/stealing your advertising ID#.....

But now these companies won't have to steal your ID#. They're the ones giving it to you and now they're the ones "selling" it to other companies in exchange for access to more data about YOU!...... this shit is wild.

Imagine if you stop at the state store (maybe just to play the lotto), but suddenly your phone, tv, hell even your car's infotainment begin playing alcohol addiction ads.

You work near the casino and hit up the lunch buffet twice a week, now you're getting gambling addiction ads. Or worse now you're getting more gambling promo ads "Sign up to NeverWinCasino.com and get 2000 bonus points"

This shit is not to benefit US at all, its only to help corporations

Labor Crunch Tests Growth Limits for US Data Center Builders

Rachel Phua
July 8, 2026

Following several quarters of record order books, a skilled-labor shortage is testing the limits of growth for the craft-labor providers who build data centers across the US.

While some executives have downplayed the strain, others acknowledge that a lack of electricians, pipe fitters and site supervisors is forcing them to turn away work or poach crews from smaller contractors to keep projects staffed...

New York becomes first U.S. state to impose AI data center ban

• New York State Governor Kathy Hochul on Tuesday signed an executive order barring the construction of new “hyperscaler” data centers using 50 megawatts or more of power for up to one year.

• It is the first statewide data center ban in the U.S., though similar measures, also referred to as “moratoriums”, are being considered by other states.

• Public polling has shown a significant increase in opposition to data center construction as voters face soaring electricity bills, and fear the jobs impact of AI.

Data Center Reps Face the Guillotine, Flee Public Hearing

By AJ Dellinger Published August 7, 2026, 3:35 pm ET

For towns and cities across the country looking for ways to tell data center developers that their projects aren’t welcome in their communities, the fine folks of Salem, Oregon seem to have found a very efficient way to get their message across: Pull up to public hearings with a guillotine.

One person in particular got attention: a guy who put a guillotine on a trailer and rode it around outside of the Salem Public Library’s Loucks Auditorium where the meeting was taking place.

While a lot of ire was directed at the developer, it was not exactly a banner showing for the city council. Per the Salem Reporter, one council member didn’t show up for the event and sent a fill-in to take their spot, and Mayor Julie Hoy made the decision to attend remotely rather than in-person.

By the end of the event, the residents of Salem emerged with a few tentative wins on its ledger. The council vote unanimously to pass a motion to explore banning non-disclosure agreements with developers and another to form a data center task force for the city. According to the Salem Reporter, the council also set up a second hearing that took place earlier this week and led to a temporary moratorium that will prevent any data center projects from moving forward for at least 120 days.

Turns out the public has more power than you’d imagine, especially when they show up with the blade ready to drop.

I found this thread on a BGOL search ...
i just want to know...
Is Data Center supposed to be like ICE?

Are we supposed to hate it?
They're hiring in MD.
I know here in Illinois they get a lot of hate.
How much do they pay?
