The Deion ain’t shit, he’s all ego crowd, wont like this….

I just saw a video of Colorado's university press crew( 2 white guys) and their words were "we don't know how long it will last, how long he will be here whether its 2 years or February. We know a few things if a better opportunity comes for him that means he's had success here. But all we can tell is no matter how long it lasts just enjoy the ride.
By comparison we ain't happy.
Exactly brother, the man has done a lot for JSU period. Of course it sucks he didn’t stay longer but he doesn’t have to. He didn’t hurt the university, he helped in the long run. What I hate about all of this, is how we are too quick to shit on people like look like us for any little fucking thing. It’s the same reason we will kill one of us for any little thing than others….it’s the same ignorant mind set. I love Bomani, but I hate how went about all this. Call Deion tell that shit, invite him in your show and discuss it. Don’t get on these white peoples media channels and do what he did

this is what it was about. period. end of story.
everything else is mental gymnastics on both sides of the argument.

Bro, I said it in the other thread and I’m gone say it again here. Everybody wants a savior, nobody wants to be the savior and it ain’t even a hard ask. Here’s a couple stats for the “Deion sold out crew”
1. There’s 22 million Black/African Americans in the US labor force(That’s people who are working or actively seeking employment)
2. There 107 HBCU’s in the US
3. If every Black person donates $1 a month/12 a year, we would be actively giving HBCU’s $22mil a month/ $264 million a FUCKIN year!!!!!
4. Every single penny is tax deductible.
4. Just about every HBCU has a donation portal/link that takes 5mins to set/up a recurring monthly donation.

*Here’s Jackson State’s link
2.Grambling State
3. Florida A&M
So pick a school and pledge a dollar a month. You can even designate what programs or scholarships you want to give to (that’s less than you negros pay to come on BGOL to whine about this very shit.

Now imagine if that $1 I proposed was $5 now we’re over $1Billion a year coming from US going directly to HBCU’s.

Here’s my confirmation

Now let’s see how many of y’all muthafuckas gone complain about what I just posted.

Ain’t a ounce of complaining could come from this

yea thats how they kept control,

they cant control US so they watch us

all fuckin day, to exploit weaknesses...

they use people that look like us

to be their eyes and ears.. and they attack

us from afar... with their agent faggots

amongst us...

yea they find out, what we put energy behind... whether

its an artist, or coach, or content creator..

they buy them then use them to support their

agenda which alway involves controlling the masses..

dont worry tho, we waking up to their bullshit

paper magic..

you know where they convinced us, that pieces of paper,

means some fuckin foreigner can come here and claim

and rape sacred land just because they hold a piece

of paper with words on it..

its been going on for so long, we stopped realizing

how fuckin stupid it was...

nobody can OWN land, and a piece of paper dont

mean shit..

we slowly waking up to the mindfuckery... the british and

catholic church fucked us with...

you know its still in effect tho everytime you see their symbol

of wight "supremacy"aka cac jesus images STILL in

our peoples homes.. When we stop insulting our Ancestors

by betraying them with images of faggots...

You will see things flip in our favor overnight..

we would realize instantly WE ARE THE WEALTHY ones

and lessor men are fooling us with thier paper sorcery...

got us losing our minds over green pieces of paper,

that aint worth shit..

bruh they just print them shit up willy fuckin nilly...

and we treat it like a god..

shit could make or break our day.

thats how much we under the paper sorcery spell...

but when we break it..

we will realize we were the ones keeping ourselves in

a subservient position with our thoughts..

this is JuneTeenth all over again,

we Free physically but psychologically we dont

see the unlocked chains around our minds,

waiting to be removed..

we think its still locked!!

but why you Left Mississipi though?

there is nowhere you could buy land and

dig your own well and live free there...?

or did cacs take all the good Sacred areas??

I left because it was a dead end for me to stay. Jackson itself was gutted in the 90's. It was more poppin in the 80's. When I went to JSU in the late 90's after some years of moving away, I came back like "Wtf happened to this place??". I'm not dissing my city. I will always have a special place in my heart for the city and the memories, but for me it was a trap. And a bunch of nigga shit going on that I didn't need to stay and fuck around with.

My folks own land out in the country near Port Gibson, that's where my people are from on both sides. But ain't shit really going on with it right now. I might try to do something with it someday if they let me, but that's not my focus right now.

There is a reason why you never see the salaries of other HBCU head coaches...........thats because they are shit.
The assistant coaches salaries at MVSU is $38k/yr. So how much you think it is for the HC? I'll fill you in.........$60-65k.
And you got mufuckas mad at these coaches for leaving for better paying opportunities when they present themselves.....
None of this shit is Deion's fault..........if anything that man is trying to help.

Fam, did you attend that Alcorn vs Valley, at the vet, game back in 80's? my pops took me as a kid... to this day, hadn't seen a more hyped football game...

You know any Hawkins from Jackson?

Why's that?

HBCU's don't get respect in the working world. He graduated valedictorian of his law school class and he had adverse experiences getting what he earned based on the school his degree was from.

As an adult I see it with my friends, family and coworkers. I know people that graduated from Tuskegee, Tougaloo, Lane, Paul Quinn, Hampton, Lemoyne Owen, Morehouse, Spellman, etc that constantly have to explain their schooling. I literally hear people ask them what is that?

I just have to say I am a Michigan Alumni and no other explanation is necessary.

It sux but that is the real world.

Howard is probably the only HBCU that I know of that doesn't get that.

Oh Ok so basically Deion came through selling dreams, got everybody hyped

and then bounced...

So basically you saying he came through like he was all about building a dynasty

and things went too good too fast..

so he ate his words and bounced...

From a capitalistic stand point I understand why he did what he did,

he was always about The Money..

I can also understand the people from JSU that gave him the energy and support

and now the were on the winning side seems like they got snuffed from behind...

To be honest tho, at the end of the day. A man has a right to make his own choice...

Hey Im just tryin to get the vibe for what really went down...

and I just know my Mississipian fam are tired of fuckin gettin the short end

of the stick.

I also know the pinktoe mafia aka the ol boy networks,

got their fuckin tentacles in everything Our people are doing in

the Great Mississippi... a lot of fuckery goes on behind the scenes...

but basically you saying

Deion came through... selling dreams,

then dipped when the going got good ??

or am I missing something??

What would YOU have done? and in terms of selling dreams, he did more in 3 yrs that damn near any other football coach that's been at school. He's set the foundation so it's up to the school to bring in a coach that can keep it going. Without him coming to that school, they are still practicing on a substandard field, that when it rained they couldn't even practice, locker rooms would still be shitty. Dude also cut his salary so they could afford to bring in staff that other schools have that benefited the overall athletics dept.

As someone who went to an HBCU, alumni need to give back & the administration need to do a better job of building funds.

That's a damned good point.

Obviously, Deion was needed at Jackson State. The effect was undeniable. The letdown is the unsustainability of it all, because of white power (money and media).

HBCU's are the post-Modern Negro Leagues. It's the leftover guys that the white people didn't recruit for the "pros". The Negro Leagues were better than the white leagues until they extracted all the talent.

And now people are blaming the Negro Leagues for not having enough money/power to compete against the white leagues, while still actively living under the system of white supremacy. It's like blaming Claude and Ray for not being able to keep Can't Get Right in prison instead of the warden "freeing" him and allowing him go play "pro" ball.

Lol, nah I didn't. But I know I attended every JSU vs ASU game in the 80's for sure. Those were the days man!

If you don't have the security to buffer the criminals and fools on the street, you can be baited into fight or something can happen to you. He is a NFL Hall of Famer, that just happens to coach.

You don't know what it is like when people start to swarm you or you get death threats. I am leaving my JSU called the U.S. soon, I was robbed and they committed fraud with recording football sales. White people can be billionaires and live in modest homes without issue, you can't do that black on black

That isn't the school that is the alumni.

In fact, many black professionals do their undergrad at an HBCU and their Grad work at a PWI.

The reason is that mofokrs doing the hiring and in positions to hire are white.

My daughter is a proud HBCU grad and it did great things for her development and she had doors opened because her family knows people in a position to help.

It isn't what you know its who you know and that is why ss many stupid hass crakkas get hired.

And by the way she graduated Magna and had her MBA 2 weeks after she turned 23.

Sanders proved what could be done and often made the statement is he had power 5 resources he would be unstoppable.

HBCUs can't compete because their alumni would rather give their money to crakkas.

Simply look at the endowments.

He wrote the playbook in 3 years at JSU, now stop trashing him and trash the mofokrs that aren't building on what he started.

I understand what you are saying and agree with you.

Your daughter is doing exceptionally well. With that said I know too many people that went to HBCU's and do not share that experience.

Of course networking is important. My father eventually became a judge. But to pretend that HBCU's are on equal footing in the working world with Top 20/50/100 PWI's is being disingenuous.

Great post bro. This coming week, I’ll make it my duty to donate to a few every year. Thanks

To be clear.

I am saying that the curriculum and the student's intelligence are on par if not superior to PWIs but the difference in opportunity after school is alumni and who you know.

Those who hire and fill positions in the corporate world don't look like us and without the alumni connection, education still leaves obstacles.

It isn't that those going to PWIs are more advanced, that the classes are superior, or that the schools themselves are superior.

It is their alumni who are the ones hiring those who look like them, those they have personal relationships with, or relationships once or twice removed.

The difference is the connections.

I have always been involved in my children's education but I will say that when my daughter went to a HBCU we talked often about how her professors were extremely unforgiving in their expectations and grading because they were also mentoring how it will be in the adult world after school.

That these black babies have to be exceptional.

That they don't get the wink and nod and begiven positions just cause.

Her HS was diverse and while about 50% black there were 50% every other race and nationality so its not like she didn't already know.

But being at an HBCU with students, culture and staff that looked like her, the education was much more than the theory from books.

Black folks have to get over the white water colder ideology and realize that at PWis they are being shortchanged and will still face the same obstacles once school ends and adulthood begins.

Unless of course they give away any dignity they have
