You mean Grownfolks subforum and Backup Board subforum. There are plenty places on the board where relationship discussions could go. No matter how many subforums you create, with a few exceptions, there will be someone that posts on the main board.

Cats really want to talk and bond on here so all of the NSFW stuff should be moved to the Backup Board like it used to be (WGOL, LGOL and AGOL too). Mods should slide through and clear the main board every week moving topics to other parts of the site. When you really want to see some women it's buried amongst cat gifs and feelings discussions which cause the immature crew ( me included ) to slide thru and hit y'all up for 55 real quick.

As far as the negativity. It's BGOL. Negative responses come with the territory. One thing that has helped me stay on here is that I have to remember that I can't control how others respond to what I put out, but I can control how I respond (or don't) to them. This mantra (as well as some years of lurking) has kept me semi-sane & unbothered by the jokesters on the board.

One thing that I want to add though- there is a chance that people wouldn't go to it if it were considered a feminine board or another SOL. Unless there was some type of special treatments there that allowed members to post anonymously (or some other redeeming feature), I do not yet see the point in creating a whole other board if the threads won't get the exposure they need to get an adequate cross-section of opinions to make an impact.

I think this is one if the biggest problems I have with board though.

Everyone of us here goes through some shit in our real lives (relationship issues, money problems, depression, insecurities, work issues, etc.) but they rarely get discussed because people will clown and make a joke of it.

Why should it be a bad thing to help each other out when we may be going through something without it being considered soft or "spill your guts?"
