The Avengers - Was there more to Loki's plan?

loki the comic book character would def be on some grandmaster shit but ya idk if joss whedon planned it like that...cool if he did tho...can't wait for the next avengers joint...thor not so much

I dont think that Loki is playing chess like a grandmaster and looking twenty moves ahead but he is a person who can quickly adjust his moves for the situation - He wanted to rule Midgard as his stepping stone to ruling Asgard - he wants to rule the 9 realms - When pointed out that Midgard will be a crumbled ruin - he thought the invasion would be more like Germany moving into France than moving into Russia, with the Migardians coming over with roses and bowing down.

So when his plan failed, he begins to adjust and make new plans - when you are Eternal you have a long time to plan shit.

Soooooo. Who saw Thor 2?

Man, Loki and Thanos playing some serious games with these heroes in these movies. The Guardians of the Galaxy are gonna have their hands full next Summer. How many years is Marvel going to keep this going until we get The Infinity Gauntlet movie?

Joss is stepping into C.Nolan status if he pulls this off.
Fuck Nolan. He isn't a godly comic movie runner like so many make him out out be. He stays too close to the safezone of realism for my tastes. Joss been doing his thing with comics for way longer anyway. He wrote for Marvel Comics and is a good TV show creator. No surprise his movies are great as well.

Dude I'm assuming you haven't seen Thor: the dark world yet have you? If you know your comics and you know the story behind the infinity gauntlet it was pretty much given to you at the "second" ending of the movie, as far as the first Avengers go as soon as I saw Thanos I knew what direction the sequels were going much like the t.v. episode of Marvel's agent of shield when Dr Franklin Hall was obliterated in episode #3(I think)..can anyone guess what bad guy he will be? anyone? anyone? Bueller? When it come to Loki never NOT EVER has he said or did anything that did not benefit him it doesn't matter if your in the big league of villainy like Thanos,Dark Phoenix,Galactus or even the Beyonder it's ultimately about him in the end and his one true goal is to rule Asgard. nuff said.
