I don't know, I just wanna know.
I think all of the women I know want a man who takes charge. It's like, no matter how much money I make or how bossy I am, I expect my man to be the leader. Not to boss me around or tell me what to do all the time, but he has to be mature and have good judgment. (I think a lot of the SOL ladies talked about this in the "Black Women Submitting" thread). I used to lose interest very quickly in guys who wanted me to act like their mother...
Also I appreciate men who can make decisions and come up with a plan. This is an example of a frustrating conversation that has gotten more than one man demoted:
Man: Hey Follow. How you doing?
Me: I'm doing fine. Relaxing. How you?
Man: I'm cool. I just wanted to see if you want to go out on Friday after work
Me: Yeah that sounds good
Man: Cool. Where do you want to go?
That is so annoying. Like you asked me out. Have a plan. Also have a plan and goals in your life

I don't know if it's just nervousness or what but it seems like a lot of men draw a blank when it comes to making plans.

Overall I think a man taking control (not controlling) is very sexy in the bedroom and in general. I can appreciate someone that is assertive (not overly) and confident.

lol @ sean! but the ladies pretty much summed it up for me I like a man that can take control but is not controlling. I also can start to run off at the mouth a little bit I need my man to say "look woman I said yadda, yadda, yadda" I can be very opinionated at let my emotions get the best of me - I need someone to bring me down to reality sometimes...

As a man I have no problem pursuing the woman. In most cases that's how it happens, but I will say that I appreciate it when the woman asserts herself and pursues me. That doesn't happen too much, but when it has I enjoyed every minute of it...
