Man, this shit took FOREVER. After I got divorced, I got slammed. I hadn't filed my military disability yet, didn't think I had any chance at succeeding because I wasn't in that much pain. My mortgage was higher than my check. I was drowning.

I got fat. My ass got to 265. To put it in perspective, I'm 215 now. My credit score was in the 530s. I couldn't get a business loan.

I had y'all and a few other people in my corner. I lost the weight, got my Associates Degree, got my disability increased, got a promotion and shit began to pick up. I used the money from my disability to pay down my debt and now...800...well, 799, but I have 2 hard inquiries dropping off on August 9th, so that 799 will be 800 soon enough.

So, I'm happy. Beyond happy, actually. Y'all are family. Y'all helped me realize I'm a great writer and I owe a lot to Y'all. I can't name all the times where people from this board came through for me. So, thank you. Here are the titties and ass and pretty faces.

Congrats sir!
I'm just trying to get to 850 where you're at, slick. Man, my book should be coming into this year. Hopefully 2 more by end of next year. I've already secured the domain names of three of them:

The Naughty Nurse Chronicles Volume I, End of A Nightmare, A Devil's Threesome.

I've got 2 more that I haven't secured the domain name yet so I can't divulge the title. Someone on this board secured the domain name www.NaughtyNurseChronicles.com last year so I had to add THE to the domain name, which is fine becauseits the first in a series.

Hey @playahaitian is there any way of finding out who did that and ID'ing the backstabbing Inglorious Bastard)

Now, I just need to sit my ass down and write more and stop procrastinating. But God's been good

Been sitting at 799 for almost a year now any advice on how to get that extra point to make it over, my wife been at 780 for almost 3 years. We have no debt and all are normal bills are automatically deducted out our joint account.

You're already way past me. My screenname is my goal. I wanted to keep it top of mind.

Glad to see your progress and success!

Get a credit card and use it for stuff like groceries and gas and pay it off at the end of the month. I have a mortgage that I pay on time and one credit card. You will need some line of credit and steady history in order to get over that hump.

No problem. Keep that credit active even if it is just $100 here and there.
My Sam's card, and my Care Credit (I can only use at CVS or Walgreens), I need to go buy some ibuprofen and some water respectively. I might go do that today.

The due date for one is on the 9th and the other is the 28th, but I'll get it and pay it off leaving only a dollar on it and pay off the dollar last month

My rule of thumb is usually to use the card to put something you would normally pay straight up cash for and then just let it sit until the end of the month. So I buy groceries, gas, electronics or big purchases. Get a card with cash back or travel points so you get some benefit from it.
I usually charge up to about $200 a month on essentials and then pay them off before the due date. You get extra protection on purchase and the cash back adds up to a few dollars here and there which is beating most brick and mortar banks' interest payments. I then dump the cash back into my savings. My bank only gave me 0.01% interest on Savings so this helps. I moved the bulk of my money into a High Yield Savings though collecting 4.25% interest. The other savings is a slush fund.

I've gotten to 800 by a combination of things. I paid off student loans and paid off a car in full. The condo I live in I make steady payments on so my score stays high. I use the credit card as an extra line in order to show my credit worthiness. Big financed purchases paid consistently over years is the easiest way to 800.

Congrats on the score fam. Fucked up someone took your shit. It's some grimy ass cats.

Yeah man, I got to stop prograstinating myself. I got my one book done right now, just got to finish the editing. My other one just needs to be organized. Been dicking around online(bgol and other places) since May though just enjoying being lazy for summer. Time to get back on the grind.

Good luck man. Knock that shit out.

Man, listen. I was pissed at first that somebody stole my shit, but then I figured out a way around it. Then I wasn't so mad. They wasted money trying to fuck me.

I'm sitting here chilling with my FWOB (friends w/o benefits). I know I should be writing, but I like the company. I am enjoying summer, but I do get on the grind

Good luck to you too

Fam you doing you enjoying good company with a newly 800 credit score, life is good no need to explain nothing.

I could be wrong sure someone here will tell me but honestly I don't think nothing will be different from when you were in your 700s.
I mean right now I got a 2.75 rate locked in on my house and I don't plan on ever buying another new car. Paying an extra $10,000 just for my ass to be the first ass to be in that seat doesn't make a lot of sense to me

Getting a used car with low miles just makes more sense. But I don't know what other reason my credit is important

Congrats!

What have you been doing to make yours go up?
Really just paying everything on time. And having the money to pay everything on time. Keeping a low level on my credit card.

Got a Sam's Club credit card and buy groceries and pay that off every month. Just keep doing that

Crazy shit is, now that I got it I don't know what the fuck to do with it. When I was trying to get it I was trying to start a business.
