I think immigrants always go to where they think they will be most comfortable and where there is people like them. When the first groups of Haitians started migrating up north, for some reasons that’s where most ended up. I remember listening to Haitian music as a youngster and you hear those cities being mentioned a lot. Any Haitian on this board will co-sign this, growing up in Haiti, you would think Miami or Boston was a state because of how often we hear the names of those cities when people would talk.
