I’m already not excited for Empire’s return due to the 101 special guests that are lined up to appear on the musical soap opera. But now things may end up sucking harder thanks to Terrence Howard and his inability to stay married. That and because he allegedly likes to “whoop that trick, mayne!”
The powers that be over at Fox are reportedly concerned over the mounting controversy surrounding Terrence Howard’s failed marriages and resurfaced allegations of domestic violence. Terrence quietly divorced his third wife, Mira Pak, back in July, after “irreconcilable differences” forced her to file.
Michelle Ghent, Terrence’s second ex-wife, is currently suing him for assault, emotional distress and defamation. Ghent claims the Empire star punched her, repeatedly “mule-kicked” her in the head, and strangled her during a summer trip to Costa Rica in 2013. The actor was also arrested a decade ago for punching his first wife, and mother of three of his children, Lori McCommas, twice in the face.
So now the producers are getting ready to sideline Terrence’s Lucious Lyon’s character, which should be easy since he was jailed at the end of season one.

From Page Six:
On the music drama, the 46-year-old Oscar nominee plays Lucious Lyon, the founder and CEO of Empire Entertainment. At the end of the show’s smash first season, Lucious was arrested for murder, but according to our source, it’s more than a storyline — it’s a calculated move to keep Howard on the sidelines.
“What they are doing is two-fold,” said the source. “They have him locked up so you won’t be seeing him in as many scenes. But they are bringing in so many, and I mean so many, guest stars and cameos that the average viewer won’t realize it because there is so much going on.”
