I didnt comment in the other thread either. I did this to be funny really. I love the south and the music. But Ive always like up north shit too. Its crazy the amount of hate the south gets though. Its like the southern niggas stole the NY niggas bitches.
a lot of big acts still in NY so its silly. Not to start on the south vs east thing too much. Most southern acts are two lps deep and disappear. Plus "NY" is one state while the south is many states i would hope you would be more relevant.

Actually they are intellectuals. These new cats are 100 times better business men than earlier generations of hip hop artist. I look at cats like gucci and SB like I do JJ Abrams and Bruckenhiemer. Let me say this. NY has never been popular at rap. Think about it. Besides Big and Jay-Z and 50 Cent (Puffy if you want to count him) all of the really MAJOR hip-hop acts have always come from other regions since Public Enemy fell off (Late 80's early 90's). 
Of course I'm a hip-hop fiend so I know the Naughty's, Wu's, Rakim's, Nas', etc... but they have never sold anywhere near as many albums as your Hammer's (Oakland), Eminem's (Detroit), Nelly's (St. Louis), Outkast's (Atlanta) Snoop and Dre's (Cali) or hell even back in the day your 2 Live Crew and Luke (Miami).
The one thing NY needs to do to get back on top is just accept that the best shit they do is NOT GOING TO BE POPULAR! This is not a fucken term paper or an orientation , I write fast, and often am doing more than one thing at a time, sure I have typo's but at least my words are often multi-syllable words, and my logic is solid and my thoughts consist, not to mention I don't speak in either a dumbed down version of Ebonics nor clique (where every thought you say comes from a t-shirt, poster, or a rap record!)
