Ten Black Films That May NEVER Be Released

laurence fishburne .. to me.. does quality work ... he appears to try and choose quality projects ...

anthony mackie ... is a good up and comin' actor... who i think also tries to pick quality projects ...

i like robert townsend's work too..

so i would definitely wanna see their movies...

the rest ..i'd have to see trailers for ... and read some reviews ....

gettin' our films into the marketplace is an uphill battle at every turn..

He's gonna be the next black male superstar. I wanna say Taraji may be the next female. Maybe I just wann see her shine. Then again she's about to be in Steve Harveys movie, Think Like A Man. I won't hold my breath.

Woooow. This shit is fucked! I saw a DVD Screener of Halle Berry in FRANKIE & ALICE almost 2 whole years ago and you mean to say it still isn't released anywhere even on DVD?! Fucked up! That was a good movie too. Halle having split personalities, one a genius little girl and the other a racist white Southern Belle.

Black Water Transit

‘Black Water Transit’
is a crime drama film based on the novel of the same name by Carsten Stroud. It is directed by Tony Kaye and stars an ensemble cast including Laurence Fishburne and Karl Urban.

Successful businessman Jack Vermillon, (Fishburne) owner of a container ship company, is desperate to help his son, an ex-junkie charged with trafficking and armed robbery. Although Jack cannot get him out of jail, he might be able to get him moved from a maximum-security prison–if he can give law-enforcement officials something in trade. When tough-guy Earl Pike, (Urban) a military man with high-level CIA contacts, approaches Jack about shipping his personal gun collection out of the country–a highly illegal move–Jack figures he has something for the feds. The bust is set to go down, but all hell breaks loose, and when the shooting stops, three federal agents and a member of the NYPD are dead. Now the feds are interested in pinning the fiasco on Jack, and so is Earl Pike.

Also featured in the film are Brittany Snow, Aisha Tyler, Stephen Dorff, Alex Sol, Beverly D’Angelo, Bill Cobbs, Evan Ross, and Leslie Easterbrook.
Shot in 2007, no theatrical release dates have been announced.

^^^^

The only one I would consider going to see.:yes:

I've seen rough cuts of Bolden. The director/producer is an eccentric zillionaire (Daniel Pritzker) who maybe just made the movie to watch at home by himself and friends. Damn shame too cause it's really good.

Here is the trailer for the movie call "Louis" he shot at the same time he was shooting Bolden! with the same actors, but this one is about a Louis Armstrong as a child.

things fall apart was actually a pretty good story about athletics, cancer, etc 50 did a good job, I was shocked

and the Alice with Hallie was pretty good too, they were released as screeners last year

Hate to be that one negative guy but these movies look like a bunch of stinkers with the exceptions of the Townsend and Fishbourne flicks.

I was thinking the same thing. The same cast of lame black actors. Time for some new blood and better stories. Terrence Howard mulatto azz playing nelson Mandela is a fucking joke. Black folks always get the same fucking actors other folks need a chance.

Some of you cats can't see the forest for the trees.

Support these independent films if you want to see better quality films hit the market.

halle berry's performance in frankie & alice screamed, "please give me a legitimate oscar". movie was greta garbo.

I remember back in the day when the gospel plays were the rage

"Momma I Wanna Sing!" I heard this phrase EVERYWHERE. I'm surprised it took this long to put it in film...

That Bolden joint look hot...I could have sworn that Eddie movie was released last year...guess not. I remember seeing trailers for it for a while though. I notice a lot of the same people are in these movies...

Momma I Wanna Sing was one of the first ones. Don't be so surprised, haven't you heard? There's no money in making movies starring black people?

I seen some of these flicks have actually been released. Momma I Want To Sing, Dark Tide and Things Fall Apart. Any of these other flicks have been released? I didn't even know Frankie and Alice was on the net. I wouldn't mind checkin' any of them out actually.

How can you cats judge something before you even see it? That's why are films don't do shit and we can't get any distribution. Ya'll judging flicks without even seeing them.

Mama I Want to Sing, Fankie and Alice can be easily found. Halle should have gotten her Oscar for this one instead. I had no idea it was never release. She was promoting it.

Things Fall Apart was just on BET.

She wasn't playing a black whore getting dug out by a white dude, thats why....\
Just like the slave days, the only blacks getting loot are the Chicken Georges, the good House Negros, the Fighting Bucks, the Mammies and the Black whores.... If your not from that mode Hollywood aint going to fuck with you.
.
