Every time I went, (to this same Six Flags), if you want one of the attendants to hold something they will hold it in those cubbies on the other side. If it was a basketball like dude said above, (and not a hat like I read on the news report), then it shouldn't have been allowed on the ride in the first place. Not to mention if you drop something all you have to do is tell an attendant and they will retrieve it when the ride stops. Might take a while but you can get it back, (been there, done that).

Point is, if you got to climb two sets of fences passing warning signs, it ain't worth it.
