BoxingScene.com has been advised that manager Sebastián Contursi, on behalf of Marcos Maidana (31-2, 28KOs), made a request to Tim Lueckenhoff, Executive Director of the Missouri Office of Athletics, to include post-fight anti-doping tests in the scheduled welterweight fight with Devon Alexander (22-1, 13KOs).
We've been advised that Alexander, and manager/trainer Kevin Cunningham, accepted Maidana's request immediately.
Alexander-Maidana takes place on February 25th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. HBO will televise.

Apparently there seems to be a more active drug testing trend going on and the best part is fighters don't have a problem accepting it.
