Tattoo Ideas

u need to give more info...location, meaning etc etc. but i do remember this girl flashed me her tattoo but she was fribble lookin. right above her cuda it said "slippery when wet" n had the road sign. i was yung but i still remember that

My only advice is making sure it's not in a terribly conspicuous location.

And make sure it means something to you.

And this is JMO, but try to make it not so typical. Butterflies, roses, fairies, are just so over done.

the first one i got was of my personal signature. i thought it was a unique idea and so far i'm right. I did think of flowers but no roses. I want something that is just different. It doesn't really have to have a meanin behind it. Right now i'm workin on piecin together my meaningful tattoo. from my signature, i was thinkin of gettin some paw prints all the way up my back ending with a tiger. I thought it would symbolize my journey through life. i want to get it done over time though. my mom and i wanted to get somethin that meant somethin to us and i was thinkin of the key and heart idea... how does that sound

I like the key and heart thing.

the paw prints, not so much. But it's about what you want in the end. Remember this is permanent.

You should go to tattoo websites and check out the online portfolios.

Well, my next tattoo will be an Adinkra symbol of West Africa--if you've never heard of them, they're like proverbs, basically but they're posted everywhere in Ghana. I really thought I had an original idea but since I've seen a couple people in Atlanta with them, I guess I'll share my not-so-original idea. :)

Here's one site that has several along with their meanings:

^^^ The adrinkas are nice. I've been planning on having my first tats be sesa woruban, hye won hye, and nyame dua for forever. I'm not getting them till I graduate though; my gift to myself. Honey Berry, have you ever thought of doing an I-Ching hexagram tat? One of my friends has one with a word that has importance to him & he's trying to convince me to get one also. It's small and pretty original.
Some hexagrams according to Wikipedia (I'm sure you can find others on better sites though): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Ching#The_hexagrams

I want to get another tattoo but want something different or creative. Any ideas?

whenever a customer comes to me looking for ideas i usually send them to a few gallery sites:
Tattoo Johnny is my top choice, i've used alot of designs from there for ideas and just for pieces i've done.

Tattoo Finder is real good to, i just personally prefer Tattoo Johnny

SkinU is ok but you can't beat it when you're looking for chinese symbols as they have over 600.
http://www.skinu.com

Bullseye Tattoos is straight, has a few pieces on there i liked and was able to push

Now, if you just wanna see what others have gotten and want to use that to get some ideas, BME Ink is the absolute best seeing as there isn't another site like it.

And for anyone in Atlanta, if you're interested and want to check out some of my work you can go to http://www.kingtatonline.com

I wanted the adrinka symbol for gye nyame at one point. Who knows, maybe I will get it later on.

I could never get a tattoo because I'd want one of those big long full arms one like on Full Metal Alchemist.

True, not as good as on a man imo, but if its a toned arm they look great!
When I played a lot of Capoeira there were a lot of tatts on toned female arms. One lady was almost 50, but she had a real young body- no wrinkles or chicken flap arm and she wore it well. She was an artist though so she had a lot of lattitude with her personal appearance. If I got one I wouldn't want to cover it and some of the venues I teach it wouldn't be appropriate. I was already accused of showing too much titty at one site  not that that stopped me. I don't do dresscodes!

I'm not a tattoo fan, but the fact that you made a reference to one of the finest Anime series ever produced gives you brownie points

If I ever got a tattoo (not likely) It would be a simple zodiac sign or my sister's name on my shoulder.

Sorry, no suggestions Honeydip. Carry on :D

Full Metal is an intellectual's anime isn't it Aristotle! It's existential, metaphysical and almost any other "al" you can think of. Plus the animation is top notch. I love Inuyasha, but as far as depth and storyline Full Metal is no. 1 in my book.

I say don't bother with it.

I do not find tattoos beautiful in most cases (though I do find some designs interesting) Your skin is beautiful as is. Why alter/enhance/transform it?

Some of you may not know this, but a woman who has a tattoo actually sours and poisons her breast milk rendering you unable to breast feed your children w/o any side affects.

My unwanted two cents.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
