the first one i got was of my personal signature. i thought it was a unique idea and so far i'm right. I did think of flowers but no roses. I want something that is just different. It doesn't really have to have a meanin behind it. Right now i'm workin on piecin together my meaningful tattoo. from my signature, i was thinkin of gettin some paw prints all the way up my back ending with a tiger. I thought it would symbolize my journey through life. i want to get it done over time though. my mom and i wanted to get somethin that meant somethin to us and i was thinkin of the key and heart idea... how does that sound
I want to get another tattoo but want something different or creative. Any ideas?
Well, my next tattoo will be an Adinkra symbol of West Africa--if you've never heard of them, they're like proverbs, basically but they're posted everywhere in Ghana. I really thought I had an original idea but since I've seen a couple people in Atlanta with them, I guess I'll share my not-so-original idea.
Here's one site that has several along with their meanings:

I could never get a tattoo because I'd want one of those big long full arms one like on Full Metal Alchemist.

I'm not a tattoo fan, but the fact that you made a reference to one of the finest Anime series ever produced gives you brownie points
If I ever got a tattoo (not likely) It would be a simple zodiac sign or my sister's name on my shoulder.
Sorry, no suggestions Honeydip. Carry on![]()
^^^ The adrinkas are nice. I've been planning on having my first tats be sesa woruban, hye won hye, and nyame dua for forever. I'm not getting them till I graduate though; my gift to myself. Honey Berry, have you ever thought of doing an I-Ching hexagram tat? One of my friends has one with a word that has importance to him & he's trying to convince me to get one also. It's small and pretty original.
Some hexagrams according to Wikipedia (I'm sure you can find others on better sites though): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Ching#The_hexagrams
