Good brother, Sa Neter showed Umar on some videos etc.. Most people outside of the Northeast were not watching that stuff. I used to watch all that House of Consciousness stuff. In truth Umar blew up after Hidden Colors it exposed him to a very wide audience. I live upstate also and met Umar a couple times (appeared to be a good brother) but dude seems to have lost his way. He seemed real cool when I met him though. I haven't meant Tariq but I feel he is more business oriented that's how he was able to put out Hidden Colors. I have never seen pictures of Tariq staff. Sometimes I think as a people we nitpick at certain shit. Sa Neter would of loved to put out a Hidden Colors but he still hasn't figured out how to do anything but put out these waste of time recycled debates.

If you're down for the cause,
- Use only camera equipment created by black people, which means no Canon, Nikon, etc

- Use only black social networks, no Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc

You're cherry picking a black film crew, when Tariq said he tried a black crew, they failed, then he moved on to some white boys that could do that job.
Neely Fuller doesn't advocate separation other than from each other unless it's constructive. He never said refuse to buy non-black products and services. His aim is to produce justice and eliminate the system of white supremacy. He never said buy black only, although it's a good idea.
Now I'm FOR supporting black businesses 100%, but until there are reliable black products and services in all areas, Economics, Education, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, Religion, Sex & War, we're going to have to rely on this system in certain ways. I'm not judging Tariq for hiring non-black people. I think he should try to as hard as possible to do so, but at the end of the day that's his decision.

We are in agreement for the most part. Hidden Colors made Umar able to go international. I haven't seen Tariq staff I know he employs black folks and he says all the time. Regardless it's a sad situation when we should be focused on building. Happy Kwanzaa brother!

Their internet reputation is important for both of these dudes to make money. They're marketing. It may seem like some dumb petty shit to us, which it is. But to them it means they can lose their business. I agree that they are both on that BS a lot of times. Umar a hell of a lot more. I personally don't care what either of these dudes say about anything or these e-beefs. If I like a product they put out, I'm still going to buy it.
This is 100% true. But he's also about puting money into black people's hands. On his podcasts he's always looking to hire black coders, graphic artists, models, etc. He's always asking about black restaurants to go and gives him them free publicity. And there's some on this board who've made bread because of Tariq. Most of us should be about making money and be unapologetic about it.
