Tariq Nasheed vs. Tucker Carlson 11/29

Yep. Absolutely a win for them. Not with you or any of Tariq's audiences. Fox gives zero fucks about you and them. Their goal was this: show black man with Muslim name attacking white hero - put BLACK LIVES MATTER under his face. Drop Mic.

After they did that they won WITH THEIR AUDIENCE. Do you think they cared about anything else??! He played into their hands. He believes his own hype about how wise and adept he is (some of you too I guess). Fox News isn't about truth or debate. It's about PROPAGANDA. They just used him for their propaganda EXACTLY as they wanted. He didn't stop them. He played their stooge in this. When they called he should have said : "you are not a news organization; I only appear on legitimate news." Then hung up.

But he couldn't resist the urge to appear on TV and he actually believes his own hype as a "great debater". He wasn't smart enough to get fox's hustle: they aren't about debate - this was a visual propaganda "angry Blackman with BLACK LIVES MATTER under his name". They played him so well they will probably ask him back! They couldn't have hired an actor to do better.

He, however, will never admit he got played because in his mind he is "the king of game". He will do a podcast announcing how he "destroyed a suspected white supremacist ". Blah blah blah...

Nope. He got used by master propagandists. Done. Next time just say no.

Amazing you got some retarded ass people in this thread talking about not "Being on code" because you can see through the bullshit with him getting played by Fox News. The second he signed on to discuss that retarded ass tweet, he fucking failed.

but hey, he called Fox News a race casino, what a fucking win!

Exactly. These guys are acting like because Fox New is always saying stupid ass shit that means they ARE stupid; they're not. These fucks are basically what got Donald Trump(an obvious idiot) elected over Hillary Clinton ( a clearly qualified candidate). They didn't do it by being stupid: they are MASTER propagandists- -at a billion dollar national level. They have shaped the fates of nations with their fuckery. Tariq though he was going to go in their house a "show them game and drop that knowledge ".

Nope. He got played by masters. He didn't and probably still doesn't realize he got played.

He lost the minute he appeared on their show with THEIR visuals. I mean was he even smart enough the ask BEFORE hand "how are you presenting me? What labels will you be putting under me as representing?"

Clearly he didn't. They labeled him "left wing" and "black lives matter activist". After that they were done with his ass. They couldn't careless what talking points he tried. He walked into this trap like ANYONE who appears on Fox News. It's their propaganda network they control the visuals. He couldn't do shit after that.

But his ego got the best of him. He just assumed because they appeal to stupid people that they are stupid too. They aren't. They are some of the best propagandist in history. The played him like a cheap fiddle. A smart man would have realized they are using me as a visual prop; there is no win in this for me (or anyone else foolish enough to appear on Fox News)

Tariq got his ass handed to him. He sounded emotional and butt hurt. He was all over the place. On top of that he sounded a lil too sweet

the funny thing about codes is that them CACs are on Code over there.
Here a black message board we are not.

I can bet there is not dissent over on stormfront. If there is, they are keeping it to THEMSELVES.
Our dumbasses are attempting to tear a Black man whom at the end of the day CARES FOR HIS PEOPLE.

Marinate on that.

You idiots stay tuned in for somebody yall swear has no credibility. lol watching every second. va will be here in a minute.

I'm late to the game this time! Others have articulated my position better than I could have. My main critique would be his body language and that he was talking to quickly. He seemed nervous and missed a few good opportunities to counter Tucker Carlson. Didn't seem like he'd done his homework on Tucker Carlson as well and couldn't properly counter the personal attacks.

Generally speaking, Tariq doesn't debate well outside of his podcast because he can't disarm his opponents with the usual insults and props ("get outta here you damn nigga!", et al), and his 'hood style of comedy doesn't translate well to other venues. Also, his followers are mostly sycophants who are afraid of being labeled "coons", "butter biscuits" and "negro bed wenches", so he usually isn't prepared to debate people with opposing views. It's why Pearl Jr and other prepared black feminists have sonned him even though the logical narrative was on his side.

Other podcasters and talk-show hosts like Rush Limbaugh have the same problem. Staying in an ideological bubble can throw your game off.

Tucker got him to basically call the tweet a statement and admit the cop was a hero within 2 minutes. Tweet was just an attention gimmick, and it worked for Tariq. Going on Fox actually strengthens him with his audience.

He knows he ain't convincing the Fox audience about shit. Hell, he admitted the guy was a hero and even that wasn't enough for them. Tucker immediately moved on to the 'racialized' thing and attacked. And that's the point of going on Fox. Knowing you are going to get attacked and look better in the eyes of your true target audience.

Trump shows how hate from the other side can help a person rise(and he also uses Twitter to draw attention). The hate against him just strengthens his support from his target audience. It validates him. Ann Couler is a master of appearing on liberal shows knowing she is going to get the business, but it helps with her overall popularity with her target audience. Get the other side talking about you. It's a win.

The same "black" people that have a problem with Tariq are the same ones that have not lifted on finger to improve the lives of black people

Exactly. We'll point out in and every little flaw in our "spokespeople" and use it as a reason not to support said person.

I can BET everyone on fox news got skeletons, and most do, but you think people care about Orielly and his domestic issues? ! NOPE

It's called being objective. I respect that Tariq is trying to galvanise black people into group economics which is what we all should be doing, but Tariq clearly wasn't prepared for this interview.

He missed so many points to make Tucker look like a moron but he came off emotional by shouting "suspected white supremacist.", amongst other buzz words.

There were numerous times when Tucker literally made himself a target with some of the dumb shit he was saying and Tariq completely missed the target.

Just because there are other posters that can see that, doesn't mean we're "Toms" or "coons."

Not sure if you listened to his podcast I posted earlier (it addresses your criticisms) today?

He's shouting because that's the flow of fox news. You have to yell otherwise they cut you the fuck off and move on to other topics or points.

You think Floyd never took punches to the face? In the end he still came out the victor. I think this was the case with Tariq. Dude ambushed him but he took a couple of jabs but landed haymakers.

YOu got it 100% correct. In HIS venue with HIS audience his tactics work. The hood style put downs; the "labeling of coon and bed wenches" even his "haymaker " - SUSPECTED WHITE SUPREMACIST - all fall flat out of that venue. You are also correct about on this other point - in this way he is like Limbaugh and other bubble dwellers. He just entered THEIR bubble. All his technique and timing failed miserably in the Fox News setting.

To his credit they always set it up that way and its done on purpose to serve their ends. He failed to see that or having watched it happen TO EVERYONE else that is foolish enough to take their bait, he thought his "game was so tight" he was going to beat them in their own house at their own game.

Folks acting like he "won" this are like the Trump supporters claiming he won the debates: deluded.

He was used as a prop.

Fox News was very pleased with him no doubt. They will probably call him again. Which will make him what the Russians call: "A Useful Idiot". He wants to be "king of game" he should understand everyone running game isn't coming at a street angle. Fox was running some world class game and they have been for decades. They are basically the white right wing game network. No wins to be had giving them propaganda. Now if he had Tucker on his show...different story. But Tucker would be smart enough to decline. Tariq wasn't.

It was more of a draw to me, but it could have been a k.o. for Tariq. He could have disrupted Carlson's (and Fox News') attempt to always take the moral high ground by bringing up the Roger Ailes' situation or something like that; he could've clowned Carlson by simply not taking him seriously and treating him as such and for having numerous shows cancelled on various networks, especially since Carlson attacked him on a personal level; and he could've have brought up Dylan Roof or all the white cops who have been shot by white men over the past couple of months. This is what Fox does. They bring up ancillaries and deflect, and Tariq could have done the same. He has the gift of gab and comedic sense to have done it; I think be missed a golden opportunity. If you look at the interviews below, you'll see how Jon Stewart, Cam, and Dame Dash were able to counter Carlson and O'Reilly using these methods.

I'm tripping off of wins and losses on an interview lol .

Fox caught him off guard and he conceded some things.
Then he found footing and caught fox off guard
Then they ended the interview
Nobody won or lost
Props for going on the show and doing his best which is all that should count.

That's because we all suffer from gptsd

Generational post traumatic stress

Some things are innate after hundreds of years of doing it one way.

We have just been able to actually try and do shit without the real fear of death at any moment for any reason since about 1968.

We just need more time to learn to be less critical
We need to detox from the icons presented before us.
It'll happen

Precisely. To see critical analysis as being tantamount to hate, jealousy or coonery is anti-intellectual. It's also blind hero worship. It's especially ridiculous to apply these labels to people who constructively critiqued Tariq's performance by mentioning his areas of strength - even as they surmised that either he lost the debate or lost just by virtue of showing up at that klan rally station at all.

:lol::roflmao::roflmao3::roflmao2:

Never seen that, Dame and Cam held it down and pervert Bill is a clown, always about the spin.

What's the purpose of your critical analysis on this interview and topic if the brother is standing up to white supremacy on your behalf if you are even black. He even putting his life on the line. But jealousy is rampant in the black community. Niggas always mad they can't be that guy.
What is anyone's purpose of speaking on this, regardless of what side you're on? We are calling it as we see it. It's called dialogue. He didn't put his life on the line by going on that show. He debased himself by willingly going into the house of some worthless crackas who demonstrated they have NO respect for him, and won't let him truly be heard. They are not worthy of Tariq.

Now how did you get "jealousy" out of what I, @Sampson, @VAiz4hustlaz or @CharlieBrown was saying?

To recap what I said earlier:

In the past on BGOL, I've pointed out a number of areas where I disagree with Tariq Nasheed. I've also said something that Dr. Boyce recently said, which is (paraphrased), "There is no person who is going to 100% share your views and methods." "We have to pick and choose those parts of what they say that we find valuable and hold onto those things. Discard the rest."

"Discarding the rest" doesn't mean discarding the person, though. Tariq is still my Brother. Though I disagree with some of his words and actions, there are more things he says and does that I do agree with and support him on. He doesn't have to be 100% in line with my own thinking to be Fam.

My wish is that we who have a platform and have a voice - use that platform in ways that actually benefit Black people as a whole. I hate to see a valuable asset such as Tariq be disrespected openly in a forum and format where he is insulted and lied on, will never be given a fair shot and will not be given the chance to really drop science. He has good things to say, he should be heard and he should be shown value coming in the door.

To the extent that our people with something to say, have to be on mass media at all, I would prefer it be in a framework where our thoughts, experiences, viewpoints and humanity are respected.

...But I guess I'm just jealous that I "can't be that guy".

I've stated this plenty of times before, but I fucks with Tariq! I know that he's a hustla (like most of us), but I support his products anyways. Why? Because unlike a lot of the people who hustle off race, Tariq actually states a lot of facts when it pertains to racism, history, the status quo of being Black in America and what we need to do to get our shit together. But the fact of the matter is he got called out on one of his "hustle tweets".

I follow Tariq's Twitter page, so I see his timeline a lot. He tweets a lot of facts, but from time to time he tweets stuff that's meant to keep his followers on edge. The reason he does that is because, SADLY, a lot of Black folks tend to lose interest in the adversities that Black people face once theyre no longer trending on Twitter. These are usually the Black folks who are no longer in the hood and feel like theyre exempt. When Black folks lose interest in race, that hurts Tariq current hustle. Those hustle tweets may also be meant to remind Black folks that the fight is NEVER OVER. But he needs to be careful about what he types.

Tucker & FoxNews couldve addressed any one of Tariq's many tweets about the relationship between Black people and the police, but they chose to keep digging in on that one tweet because that was a easy one to shoot down. The insults & interruptions from Tucker, along with the fact that he kept going in on that one hustle tweet knocked Tariq off his square. Why do I feel like Tariq got knocked off his square? Because of his body language. If you look at the video and pay attention to that NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION, you can easily see that Tariq was uncomfortable a few times. Im sure Tucker saw it as well.

Fox News is notorious for conducting these type of bs interviews. I hope Tariq studies that video so next time he's better prepared.

The premise of why Tariq was invited in the first place was a weak one.

Tariq could do a lot more damage against Fox News by exposing them on his own show point by point, with video clips showing their lunacy - unhindered by the interruptions of fools... the way Young Turks do, for example.

Their goal was this: show black man with Muslim name attacking white hero - put BLACK LIVES MATTER under his face. Drop Mic.

One thing for sure is that Tariq got those racists on twitter in a frenzy, so really I change my vote to a win for him!
